A Short Islamic Story

Once, a man came to Hazrat Ali (RA) and asked:
"If everything is already written in our destiny, then why should we make dua?"

Hazrat Ali (RA) replied:
"Dua itself is a part of destiny. Just as your thirst brings you to water, your dua brings you to what is written for you."

Lesson: Never stop making dua. What you ask for might already be destined for you, but your dua is the key that unlocks it.

Once, an old woman used to throw garbage on the path of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ every day. The Prophet never said a harsh word to her.

One day, he noticed no garbage was thrown. Concerned, he asked about her and found out she was ill. The Prophet ﷺ went to visit her and showed kindness. The woman was deeply moved and accepted Islam.

Lesson: Respond to hatred with kindness, for good character can change hearts.

After the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was injured badly. A group of his enemies once caught him, but instead of cursing them, he raised his hands and prayed:

“O Allah, forgive my people, for they do not know.”

His mercy and forgiveness melted the hearts of many, and countless people entered Islam because of his beautiful character.

Lesson: True strength lies in forgiveness, not revenge.
