Govt. Graduate College Asghar Mall Rawalpindi

On 5th March 2026, following the directions of the RNAP Committee, a Teacher–Students Dialogue was organized at Government Graduate College Asghar Mall, Rawalpindi by the Students’ Affairs Society. The dialogue focused on the theme “Role of Youth in Building a Peaceful Society.”

The activity commenced with the National Anthem, followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran and Na’at, creating a dignified and inspiring atmosphere for the session.

The discussion was formally opened by Prof. Shazia Mumtaz, Incharge of the Students’ Affairs Society, who introduced the topic and highlighted the importance of engaging youth in meaningful dialogue about peacebuilding and social harmony.

To enlighten the students on the significance of their role, Dr. Raja Amir Hanif, Head of the History Department and a renowned scholar and researcher, was invited as the keynote speaker. In his insightful address, Dr. Hanif elaborated on the objectives and underlying motivations of the Revised National Action Plan (RNAP) and emphasized the crucial role of youth in fostering peace, tolerance, and social cohesion. He underscored that the energy, awareness, and commitment of young people are essential for building a resilient and harmonious society grounded in national spirit and mutual respect.

میں بی ایس پروگرامز کے فارغ التحصیل طلبہ کے اعزاز میں پہلے باوقار کانووکیشن کا انعقاد نہایت شان و شوکت اور علمی وقار کے ساتھ کیا گیا۔ تقریب اپنے اختتام کو پہنچی تو ہال تالیوں کی گونج اور مسرت آمیز جذبات سے معمور تھا جو طلبہ کی برسوں کی محنت اور اساتذہ و والدین کی دعاؤں کی اجتماعی تعبیر کا مظہر تھا۔
تقریب کی میزبانی محترمہ پروفیسر انیلہ بی بی اور پروفیسر سید نجم الحسن نے کی۔ اینکرنگ کے فرائض نہایت وقار اور فکری سنجیدگی سے انجام دیے گئے جس نے تقریب کے حسن اور تسلسل کو چار چاند لگا دیے۔
کانووکیشن کی قیادت پرنسپل پروفیسر ڈاکٹر تنویر احمد عباس کچھی نے کی، جبکہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالرؤف، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عرفان نذیر اور پروفیسر طیبہ بخاری کی تنظیمی بصیرت اور انتھک کاوشوں نے اس تقریب کو یادگار بنا دیا۔ اکیڈمک پروسیشن کی باوقار آمد سے لے کر تقسیمِ اسناد کے روشن لمحات تک ہر مرحلہ روایت، نظم و ضبط اور تعلیمی شعور کا آئینہ دار تھا۔
تقریب کی مہمانِ خصوصی ڈاکٹر بشریٰ مرزا، وائس چانسلر فاطمہ جناح ویمن یونیورسٹی تھیں۔ اپنے خطاب میں انہوں نے طلبہ کو اس امر کی یاد دہانی کرائی کہ ڈگری محض ایک سند نہیں بلکہ کردار، شعور اور ذمہ داری کا تقاضا کرتی ہے۔ انہوں نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ علم اگر معاشرتی خدمت اور اخلاقی وابستگی سے جڑ جائے تو عہد کی تقدیر بدلنے کی قوت رکھتا ہے۔ مہمانِ اعزاز ڈاکٹر اکرام الحق، سیکرٹری اسلامی نظریاتی کونسل نے اپنے خطاب میں علم اور جواب دہی کے باہمی تعلق کو اجاگر کیا۔ انہوں نے طلبہ کو تلقین کی کہ وہ اپنی علمی صلاحیتوں کو معاشرے کی بہتری اور قومی ترقی کے لیے بروئے کار لائیں۔ انہوں نے گریجویشن کیپ کی تاریخی نسبت غرناطہ کے مسلم تعلیمی ورثے سے بھی بیان کی جس نے تقریب کو ایک فکری و تاریخی جہت عطا کی۔ تقریب کے دوران طلبہ سیاہ گاؤن میں ملبوس اسٹیج پر آ کر اسناد وصول کرتے رہے۔ ہر چہرے پر کامیابی کی مسکراہٹ اور ہر آنکھ میں مستقبل کے خواب جھلک رہے تھے۔
قومی ترانے کی گونج کے ساتھ تقریب اختتام پذیر ہوئی مگر اس کی معنوی روشنی دیر تک دلوں میں باقی رہے گی۔ کالج انتظامیہ تمام مہمانانِ گرامی، اساتذہ، والدین اور بالخصوص فارغ التحصیل طلبہ کو اس تاریخی موقع پر مبارکباد پیش کرتی ہے اور ان کے روشن مستقبل کے لیے نیک تمناؤں کا اظہار کرتی ہے۔

The first prestigious Convocation in honour of the BS Program graduates was held at Government Graduate College Asghar Mall, marked by grandeur, academic dignity and ceremonial splendour. As the ceremony drew to a close the hall resonated with sustained applause and an atmosphere charged with joy, an eloquent testament to the years of perseverance by the students and the collective prayers and unwavering support of their teachers and parents. The ceremony was gracefully hosted by Professor Aneela Bibi and Professor Syed Najmul Hassan. Their anchoring distinguished by poise and intellectual composure lent the event a seamless continuity and elevated its aesthetic and ceremonial charm. The Convocation was led by Principal Professor Dr Tanveer Ahmed Abbas Kachhi while the organisational insight and tireless efforts of Professor Dr Abdul Rauf, Professor Dr Irfan Nazir and Professor Tayyaba Bukhari rendered the occasion truly memorable. From the dignified arrival of the academic procession to the luminous moments of degree conferral every segment reflected tradition, discipline and scholarly consciousness. The Chief Guest, Dr Bushra Mirza, Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women University reminded the graduates in her address that a degree is not merely a certificate but a covenant of character, awareness and responsibility. She emphasised that when knowledge is intertwined with social service and moral commitment it possesses the power to reshape the destiny of an age. The Guest of Honour, Dr Ikram ul Haq, Secretary of the Council of Islamic Ideology highlighted the intrinsic relationship between knowledge and accountability. He urged the graduates to dedicate their intellectual capacities to the betterment of society and the progress of the nation.Reflecting upon history he also traced the origins of the graduation cap to the Muslim educational legacy of Cordova thereby imparting a thoughtful historical dimension to the ceremony. Throughout the event graduates clad in black academic gowns ascended the stage to receive their degrees. Each face bore the radiance of accomplishment; each gaze shimmered with the promise of future aspirations. The ceremony concluded with the reverberating strains of the national anthem. Yet though the formal proceedings ended the spiritual and intellectual glow of the occasion will linger in hearts for a long time to come. The college administration extends heartfelt congratulations to all distinguished guests, faculty members, parents and above all the graduates and conveys its earnest wishes for their bright and purposeful futures.
