The Department of Business Administration celebrated its students for their dedication and teamwork in successfully carrying out their assigned responsibilities during IDEAFEST 3.0 2026. The department appreciates their commitment and contribution to the success of the event.

The Department of Business Administration, in collaboration with SBP Ambassadors and External Linkages, organized a seminar on “The Role of Credit Rating Agencies in Financial Stability” on May 21, 2026.

The session, conducted by Dr. Anam Shafique, provided valuable insights into financial systems, risk assessment, and investor confidence, enriching students’ understanding of contemporary financial practices.

The Department of Business Administration organized a Career Development Session and Certificate of Appreciation Ceremony for BBA 8th Semester students on May 7, 2026. The event recognized students’ contributions to departmental activities, with special appreciation for Class Representatives. Faculty members also guided students on higher education opportunities and professional growth, encouraging them to pursue their future goals with confidence.

The Department of Sociology, in collaboration with Al-Fatah Foundation, organized a hands-on workshop on “ATS-Friendly Resume Making” for students of Sociology and Business Administration. Conducted by Ms. Jaweria Tariq, Lecturer Department of Business Administration, the session provided practical training on developing professional, ATS-compatible resumes and understanding career-specific CV requirements. The workshop equipped students with valuable skills to enhance their employability and professional profiles.

Dr. Bareera (IPFP) from Department of Botany, delivered an insightful session on “Bioactive Pharmaceuticals as Next-Generation Antifungal Agents” on May 19, 2026.

The session focused on the role of natural and synthetic bioactive compounds in combating various fungal infections. Dr. Bareera highlighted different phytochemicals effective against fungi and discussed their advantages, limitations, and practical applications in modern science and healthcare.

The informative talk provided students with valuable exposure to emerging research areas and career opportunities in the field of Botany and pharmaceutical sciences, making the session both engaging and academically enriching.

The Department of Fine Arts organized a seminar titled “From Problem to Proposal – Understanding Research Methods” on May 12, 2026.

The session was conducted by Ms. Hufza Iqbal (MS Scholar) as the keynote speaker, who shared her valuable academic, professional, and international research experiences, guiding students on research thinking, proposal development, academic writing, innovation, and the role of research in leadership and career growth.

The session provided aspiring researchers with practical insights into research methodologies, interdisciplinary opportunities, and scholarly pathways in Fine Arts and beyond.

The Department of Mathematics organized an an insightful talk on “Role of Mathematics in Pakistan Air Force”, delivered by Dr. Hashmat Ali, Assistant Professor Mathematics.

The session highlighted the practical applications of mathematical concepts in aviation, defense technology, and operations within the Pakistan Air Force, giving students a real-world perspective on how mathematics drives innovation and national security.

The Department of Zoology organized a seminar titled “Application of Statistical Methods in Zoological Research” on May 13, 2026.

The session was delivered by Dr. Musarrat Ijaz, Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics, RWU, who provided valuable insights into various statistical tools and software essential for advanced research in Zoology. The seminar was specifically designed for MPhil and PhD scholars, equipping them with practical knowledge to strengthen their research methodologies.

A departmental party was arranged for the students of department of Zoology on May 12, 2026. The students from all semesters enthusiastically participated in the party and enjoyed the moments with their fellows. The event was organized by Dr. Fareeha Ambreen under the supervision of Chairperson Zoology Department, Dr. Samina Qamer. The event provided an opportunity for the passing out batches to make their memories full of charm and fascination.

The Department of Psychology extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Maria Muzaffar Janjua, Lecturer, on the successful completion of her PhD in Psychology from National Institute of Psychology, Quaid e Azam University, Islamabad.

This achievement reflects her dedication to academic excellence, commitment to research, and passion for advancing knowledge in the field of psychology. Her work continues to contribute meaningfully to understanding critical social issues and promoting psychological well-being within our community.

The Department of Psychology organized a one-day workshop titled " AI as a Thinking Partner: Ethical and Effective Use in Psychological Research and Learning" on May 06, 2026.

The session was conducted by Dr. Maria Muzaffar Janjua, Lecturer at Department of Psychology, Rawalpindi Women University. The purpose of this workshop was to equip students with the knowledge and critical skills to use Artificial Intelligence as an effective thinking partner in psychological research and academic learning, while fostering ethical awareness, responsible decision-making, and academic integrity in the application of AI-driven tools.
