The Research Society of Policy Studies (RSPS), of the Department of International Relations, has organized a book review session on "The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy" by John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt. The president of RSPS conducted the overall session. For the event, a moderator and two panels representing different perspectives were formed to critically evaluate the book. At the end, the Head of Department, Dr. Saeed Uzzaman, and Brigadier Ehsan presented a book as a token of appreciation to the winner, Mr. Akbar Aziz, a student of 2nd Semester (Morning Shift). Mr. Azhar Waqar and Ms. Faria Mehboob have been serving as the mentors of the RSPS.

The Research Society of Policy Studies (RSPS) organized the Academic Writing Competition 2024, aimed at fostering intellectual exchange, encouraging critical thinking, and enhancing research and writing skills among students.
The competition centered around three thought-provoking themes:
• The Geopolitics of AI: Global Competition for Dominance in the next technological era.
• Rising Populism and Its Impact on International Relations
• Climate Justice: Addressing the Disproportionate impact of Climate Change on Global South
Dr. Mariam Tahir (Focal Person, RSPS) and Mr. Tahir Ahmed provided constructive feedback by engaging participants in insightful discussions about their research.
The event concluded with the announcement of the top three position holders and a certificate distribution ceremony.

Today’s seminar, organized by the Research Society of Policy Studies (RSPS) at Dept of International Relations, offered students invaluable guidance on career planning and development. Led by our distinguished guest, Ms. Tehmina Zafar—an accomplished entrepreneur and career counselor with over a decade of experience—this session focused on helping students make informed choices about their futures. Ms. Tehmina, founder of TZ Consultants, shared insights into identifying strengths and exploring potential career paths, along with international scholarship opportunities for those aspiring to study abroad. Special thanks to Mr. Rehan Zafar, Lecturer in the IR Department, for facilitating this impactful session.
