Girls from disadvantaged backgrounds suffer immense negligence as far as their health snd hygiene are concerned. There’s a huge stigma around menstrual health that leads to emotional discomfort and lack of confidence along with poor hygiene.
A free Health Check was conducted at our Girls’ Home by to teach our girls better awareness regarding health and hygiene. Observations were recorded on an individual basis after each check up, girls were encouraged to open up about any issues, and they were taught the use of a fever scanner and oximeter as well.

Educating girls in remote areas of Pakistan is one of the most effective ways to break cycles of intergenerational poverty and improve long-term community stability.
Schools in remote districts are often far from home. Families frequently cite fears of harassment or lack of safe transport as reasons for keeping daughters home.
These “little hands” should indeed hold books instead of just household tools.
Education provides girls with aspirations beyond traditional domestic roles, which is a major factor in reducing early marriage and adolescent pregnancy.
Educated women are more likely to prioritize the education of their own children—daughters included—creating a “ripple effect” that transforms entire villages over generations.

In remote areas of KPK, poverty, discrimination, lack of awareness, lack of educational institutions, lack of female teachers, accessibility to schools, and lack of government interest are the major hurdles in girl’s education. Our free girls’ school continues to play a pivotal role in the community by encouraging girls to pursue high school education which is very rarely accessible.

Our School in a disadvantaged village of KPK for marginalised children is a safe space for girls to learn, where they step out of their zone of fear and discrimination and start to dream for themselves. Women of the community here never get the time or chance to think for themselves. The culture oppresses them and their feelings and emotions are suppressed. The young girls are not heard at home and they do not receive any guidance due to which the cycle of poverty, disease and discrimination continues.
Muskurahat brings that ‘smile’ to these innocent faces by giving them the opportunity to express their feelings and to learn and grow in a healthy and encouraging environment.

AMBASSADOR OF MUSKURAHAT - Daughter of a rickshaw driver, and belonging to a poor family of a disadvantaged village, Alishba joined our free school at age 4. Being smart and intelligent, her talent was brought to surface and her skills were developed due to the opportunity she got to learn in a FREE, safe and encouraging environment.
We’re proud of her to have reached the University level and to be studying in one of the best colleges of Peshawar. The interaction with peers and teachers at this level will help her shine more. ⭐

🇵🇰A heartwarming response as always with all the illiterate mothers anxious to get their girls enrolled.
🇵🇰We now offer seats to boys too.
50 kids were admitted to Class Nursery for the year 2026-27
