Higher education remains to be a dream for the majority of girls in Pakistan where 53% of out-of-school children are simply girls. Daughter of a Mazdoor, and belonging to a destitute village, Kulsoom is the first one in her entire family to attend school.

Being talented and hardworking, she remained consistent and resilient enough to overcome all obstacles and reach university level having excelled in all her board exams so far. Hence, she is now a source of inspiration for all the girls of her village.

Educating one girl means educating her family, her community and the future while saying goodbye to early marriages, poverty and disease.

Free education made available at our KPK School has attracted and encouraged the poverty struck parents to send their girls to school since they have no means to support their education even if they wish to.

While we continue to support Kulsoom through her professional studies so her education is not disrupted, we wish her the very best for her bright future. 🌷🌷

The village that was littered with girls wasting their time here and there in the streets has a good population of young literate girls trying to make their mark now. Muskurahat has been able to spread smiles of hope and satisfaction in this disadvantaged village of KPK!

Reading makes you develop empathy and connect to characters for their traits and circumstances because of which you can be inspired for life.

Arsalan sharing his reading experience and how he felt a connection between the character of Harry Potter and himself, with Harry Potter being one of his most favourite books. His words are inspiring for all of us and they help us realise that each child, no matter their background, has a gift inside of them. And the right kind of opportunities enable it to come to surface.

It’s not just about “learning ABCs.” It’s about giving children tools for their brain, heart, and future.
Reading opens doors to careers they never knew existed. And kids who read for pleasure are:

Children have rights that need to be respected, and getting access to quality education is one basic right, but sadly in our country, only a very tiny percentage of children get to have this right.

At Asma Homes, we play our little role in creating a safe and friendly environment where the basic needs of deserving children can be met.

So proud of our children who are eager learners and thus able to maximise their potential to become a better version of themselves with each passing day, month or year.

Nadeem joined us at age 4 and being a focused and disciplined child, he utilised every opportunity to learn and grow.

They say that it takes a village to raise a child, and we are thankful to all those kind souls who played their significant part to facilitate and nurture Nadeem so he could shine, bring the star that he is. 🌟

And we wish Nadeem our very best!! 🌻

Every child has the inherent right to a safe, healthy, and nurturing life. Providing for their needs ensures their current quality of life, allowing them to feel valued, protected, and capable of moving ahead safely. But sadly, several children in our country are deprived of these rights.

Because children of today are the workforce, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow, we try to invest in their physical health, education, and emotional well-being.

We are grateful to Mr Qasim Ovais from C&C Theater for his time and energy towards adding value to the lives of our boys through fun filled activities focusing on their physical and emotional well being. ☺️
