University of Rawalpindi represented at the pilot launch of the SDG Youth Campaign “Hum Hain Pakistan” at the National Assembly of Pakistan

Dr Muhammad Abubakar, Rector of the University of Rawalpindi, attended the inaugural ceremony and pilot launch of the SDG Youth Campaign “Hum Hain Pakistan” held at Parliament House, Islamabad, under the National Parliamentary Taskforce on Sustainable Development Goals.

The session brought together parliamentarians, representatives of educational institutions, and national stakeholders to promote youth participation, student engagement, volunteerism, and university-level contribution towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

As a participating institution in this pilot initiative, UOR was also represented by Dr Saniya Moazzam, nominated SDG Focal Person, who will coordinate UOR’s engagement with the campaign.

UOR remains committed to encouraging responsible citizenship, youth leadership, and meaningful participation in national development initiatives.

UOR Launches MPU under HEC-NAHE Framework

University of Rawalpindi has officially launched the Mentoring Program for Universities (MPU) under the HEC-NAHE framework, reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence, professional development, and institutional growth in higher education.

The initiative, developed in collaboration with Higher Education Commission and National Academy of Higher Education, focuses on structured mentorship, leadership development, faculty capacity building, and collaborative learning opportunities for academic professionals.

Through the MPU framework, the program aims to strengthen mentoring culture within universities, encourage knowledge sharing, enhance professional competencies, and support continuous improvement in higher education practices. The initiative also reflects UOR’s dedication to creating impactful academic environments aligned with modern educational standards and HEC’s vision for institutional excellence.
