Our PhD Student (Mr. Talah Mehmood) Defended his PhD research today with titled"Design and Development of Portable Dust Control System for Wheat in Thrasher" his research focus was to quantify the impact of threshing dust , design, development of different designs System to reduce the dust exist from threshers to reduce its impact on human, livestock and air quality health.

FAET and Indus Consortium are becoming the voice of change! 🌍

The Department of Land & Water Conservation Engineering at Arid University, Rawalpindi, recently collaborated with Indus Consortium to host a Pre-COP 29 Event on Climate Justice. This event was all about empowering youth to take action for a sustainable future. 🌱

A special highlight of the event was having Ms. Fiza Qureshi as our guest speaker. It was truly an honor to have her with us, sharing her insights on global climate negotiations and how they impact sustainable energy policies. We also had great contributions from Hussain Jarwar (CEO, Indus Consortium), Dr. Majid Bilal (Program Manager, Just Energy Transition), Javaid Akhtar Awan (Manager Operations, Indus Consortium), and Izzah Batool (Research Associate, Indus Consortium)

One of the most engaging parts of the event was the debate competition on Global North vs. Global South. Both sides presented compelling arguments, but the Global South team emerged victorious! 🏆 They received Rs. 25,000 and certificates, while the runner-up team was awarded Rs. 20,000 and certificates.

We are incredibly grateful to Engr. Rehan Rashid and Engr. Usama Zafar, whose dedication and hard work made this event a success from start to finish. 🙌

The event also featured two insightful documentaries, one by Indus Consortium and another by students from the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology. It was wonderful to see students being recognized for their creativity and hard work with certificates. 🎬🎓

To wrap up the event, Indus Consortium kindly arranged a delicious lunch for all the participants. It was a great way to end the day, allowing everyone to connect and reflect on the day’s discussions.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Indus Consortium for their continued support in encouraging students to lead the way in climate advocacy. Special thanks to Dr. Muhammad Naveed Anjum and Dr. Fiaz Hussain for their invaluable support in making such impactful events possible. 🙏
