There are very few jobs available within Thorar, people are subsistence farmers, some who are lucky enough to find job locally work in schools or services sector in Government of Azad Kashmir, some people have their own businesses, some move to Pakistan to join Pakistan Army and other private/government services. Large number of people from Thorar are in Europe, United States and Middle East. Almost 90% of peoples working abroad mostly in G.C.C states and Europe and U.S.A, Canada and all over the world.
