5-Day Basic Bio-Risk Management training concluded at Laboratory of Molecular Pathology, University of Poonch Rawalakot
The Association for Bio Risk Management and Health Security Partners in collaboration with University of Poonch Rawalakot organized five day event at Laboratory of Molecular Pathology. This is landmark collaboration between Association for Bio Risk Management and University of Poonch Rawalakot. The training started on 24th of November-2025 and concluded on 28th of November-2025. The inaugural session was graced by the esteemed presence of Professor Dr. Imtiaz Hussain Registrar University of Poonch Rawalakot, who highlighted the importance of this extremely important training to the participants. This training was conducted under the expert supervision of Dr. Shahzad Akbar Khan ((Pride of Performance) Chairman Department of Pathobiology / Principal Investigator of Molecular pathology laboratory who was also the Principal organizer of this 5-Day Basic Bio-Risk Management training. Twenty one (21) participants including faculty members, laboratory staff, professionals and community members participated in this important training. During this training, participants got knowledge and expertise in Biosafety and Biosecurity, Cyber Biosecurity, Bio Risk assessment, Bio Risk mitigation measures, Good laboratory work practices, Personal Protective Equipment donning and doffing, incident management, biological wastes decontamination and management.
Dr. Javed Khan BRM Program Director and Chairman Association for Bio Risk Management interacted with participants and visited the Laboratory of Molecular Pathology during this training. At the end of training certificates and kits were distributed among all the participants He highlighted the importance of Molecular Pathology Lab and appreciated the efforts for ISO-350012019 certification. This will be the first ISO certified Lab in AJK.
Association for Biorisk program Management Pakistan Program coordinators Dr. Mujahid Hussain and Dr. Arshad Jaffar facilitated entire training sessions.
On the closing day certificates and kits were distributed among all the training participants.

Dear sir! May Allah ( S.W.T) bless you with highest ranks in Jannat-ul-Firdous and bless your family the courage to bear this irrepairable loss.Ameen. 😭😭😭
