World Mental Health Day is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. In this regard a seminar was organized by the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Sheikh Zayed Medical College and Hospital Rahim Yar Khan. Professor Dr. Ali Burhan Mustafa, Head of Department being the chief organizer of the event welcomed all the guests and participants who came from different areas of the country.

A Delegation of Clinical Psychology students of the Department of Health Sciences attended the event under the supervision of academic faculty. Mr. Ahmad Bilal Arif Head Department of Health Sciences extended his sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. Ali Burhan Mustafa and invited him to KFUEIT. He said that the Department of Health Sciences KFUEIT believes in collaborations and Knowledge Sharing and we will continue our traditions for the betterment of our students and will keep on providing them best opportunities to enhance their skills. He added that the event was indeed a valuable addition to the knowledge and expertise of our students and we are thankful to the worthy vice chancellor Prof. Dr Muhammad Suleman Tahir for his approvals to attend the event.

Department of Humanities and Social Sciences arranged a training of learning resources for all the students of M.Phil and PhD classes. This training was arranged in collaboration with the department of library (learning resource centre). In this training resource persons Mr. Anwar Farooq (Chief Librarian) and Mr. shakib Anwar (Librarian) introduced the ProQuest ebook central (e-brary), open public access catalogue (OPAC) and KFUEIT digital library (دانش). In the end, Head of Department Dr. Samina Sarwat thanked the trainers and hoped that training would help research scholars to access and retrieve relevent information by using available physical and electronic learning resources.

Book reading is important both for faculty and students as it develops our thoughts, gives us endless knowledge and lessons while keeping our minds active. The importance of a book to help us learn and understand the universe cannot be underestimated.
The Faculty of Information Technology and Management Sciences has decided to theme the month of October for Book Reading by celebrating the month as “The month of Book, Not Facebook”. Various books have been assigned to faculty, Teaching Assistants, Postgraduate and Undergraduate students to read and present in seminars and their respective classes.
Seperate seminars of each department at faculty, postgraduate and undergraduate level will be arranged at end of October where faculty members and students will present their book.
