Mr. Ikram Ullah Khan Kasi, Regional Coordinator OGDCL Quetta, and Mr. Bahauddin Kakar, CSR Officer OGDCL Quetta, visited the Centre of Excellence in Mineralogy (CEM), University of Balochistan, Quetta. During their visit, they donated Rs. 2.0 million to CEM. The Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ishaq Kakar, Director, CEM presented shields to the visiting guests in recognition of their support.
Prof. Aimal Khan Kasi, Dr. Razzaq Abdul Manan, and Dr. Mohibullah were also present on the occasion. The Centre expressed its sincere gratitude to OGDCL for providing the donation to CEM. The Centre also thanked Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Bazai, Chairman BoG, CEM and Vice-Chancellar UoB, whose efforts made this donation possible.

The Centre of Excellence in Mineralogy (CEM), University of Balochistan, received a generous donation of 1 Million from National Resources (Pvt.) Limited (NRL), a Mineral Exploration Company operating in Balochistan.
Mr. Rehmat Ullah Baloch, General Manager, and Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, Manager Exploration, NRL, visited CEM and formally handed over the cheque during a ceremony held on 19 December 2025 in the office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Balochistan, Dr. Ghulam Razaque. Dr. Muhammad Ishaq Kakar, Director CEM, received the cheque on behalf of the Centre.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor later presented commemorative shields to the NRL representatives. Professor Aimal Khan Kasi, CEM, and Mr. Gul Muhammad, Director General Administration, University of Balochistan, also graced the event with their presence.
The Director, CEM, expressed his sincere gratitude to Eng. Shams Uddin Sheikh, Chief Executive Officer, NRL, and his team for their valuable support in strengthening research facilities at CEM.
Subsequently, the NRL delegation also met the Chairman, Board of Governors (BoG), CEM, and Vice Chancellor, University of Balochistan, in his office.
