Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences is located in the Cantt area of Quetta within the premises of Combined Military Hospital. Quetta is the capital of Baluchistan, the largest province of Pakistan. Balochistan has a rich cultural heritage and is blessed with natural resources. In the pre-partition era, Quetta was known as Little London because of its beauty, cleanliness & orchards. The city in the present day has been changed into a centre of education, trade, commerce & business. The valley of Quetta is situated at an altitude of 5500 feet above sea level. Near Quetta are visitors’ attractions like Henna Lake, Urak Valley and Ziarat.

RAWALPINDI — The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) is entering its final stages of preparation to conduct the NUMS MDCAT 2026 examination on Sunday, 13 September 2026. The high-stakes entrance exam will determine admissions for MBBS and BDS programs across all constituent, affiliated, and military-administered medical and dental colleges for the session 2026–27.

The exam was previously pushed from its initial August timeline to September 13 to offer candidates optimal preparation time and streamline scheduling alongside other national-level entry tests. Following the closing of the extended late-fee registration window on August 19, the university’s administrative portal is focused entirely on final venue allocations and logistics.

The examination is scheduled to commence precisely at 10:00 AM PST simultaneously across all local examination centers in Pakistan. For international venues located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), the precise starting time will be explicitly specified on the individual candidate admit cards.

University administrators have reiterated that students must report to their assigned centers at least three hours before the test begins. Furthermore, candidates are reminded to strictly adhere to the examination rules, which require bringing two blue or black ballpoint pens while entirely prohibiting electronic gadgets, smartwatches, and mobile phones.
