"SOLO Taxonomy" in a simple way.

SOLO Taxonomy is a framework for understanding and measuring the complexity of thinking and learning. It has five levels:

1. Pre-structural: This is when you don't understand a concept at all. You might be clueless about it.

2. Uni-structural: At this level, you understand one small part of the concept or topic. It's like having a single puzzle piece.

3. Multi-structural: Here, you start to gather multiple pieces of information about the concept. You're putting more of the puzzle together.

4. Relational: This level is about connecting the pieces of information to form a complete picture. You see how everything relates and fits together.

5. Extended Abstract: At the highest level, you not only understand the concept but can apply it to new and different situations. It's like being able to use what you've learned creatively.

Example: Think of learning to ride a bike.
- Pre-structural: You don't know what a bike is or how it works.
- Uni-structural: You figure out how to pedal but don't know how to balance.
- Multi-structural: You understand how to balance and pedal, but turning is still a challenge.
- Relational: You can ride smoothly, turn, and stop because you've connected all the skills.
- Extended Abstract: Now, you can not only ride your bike but also teach someone else to do it or even perform tricks.
