The Students of University Model School were awarded certificates and shields for getting positions in the various inter schools competition held on the provincial and national level in a ceremony held on Friday. Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Naeem ur Rehman Khattak was the chief guest of the day while President P**A Dr. Fazal Nasir and Principal UMS Javeda Khalid were among those present on the occasion.
Prizes were distributed among nine students of the school for making it to the top twenty position in the card competition arranged by the Shaukat Khanum Hospital wherein ten thousand schools and some one million students on the country participated.
Also in the recently held education expo organized by Afaq Education 2014, Iffat Siddiq of class ninth got first position in the science project competition whereas Aiman Idress, a student of UMS class 8th got third position respectively.
The chief guest distributed prizes along the achiever students. He termed the distinction of the student as a pride for their parents and the institution.
Students of the school presented skits and tableau in the ceremony.
