4th Training of Trainers (ToT) on Nutrition Contents Incorporated in MBBS Curriculum.
The 4th Training of Trainers (ToT) for faculty of medical colleges on Nutrition Contents incorporated into the MBBS Curriculum was successfully conducted from 23โ25 September 2026 at the Center of Excellence Nutrition and Child Development, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences (IBMS), Khyber Medical University (KMU).
The three-day training focused on strengthening faculty capacity for effective delivery of nutrition content within the undergraduate medical curriculum.
The concluding session was chaired by Vice Chancellor/Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rubina Nazli, who delivered the closing remarks and appreciated the valuable feedback and reflections shared by the participants.
Prof. Dr. Inayat Shah, Director IBMS, also shared his remarks and specially recognised the dedicated efforts of the faculty from Human Nutrition, Biochemistry and Medical Education for their continuous contribution towards strengthening and advancing nutrition education within the medical curriculum.
Representatives from UNICEF shared their reflections on the initiative and acknowledged the progress made through this collaborative effort.
Faculty members from Bolan Medical College (BMC), Balochistan, also participated in the and shared their positive feedback about KMUโs initiative, highlighting the value of the training and the importance of strengthening nutrition education in medical education.
The initiative reflects KMUโs continued commitment to strengthening nutrition education, faculty capacity, and competency-based medical education for improved integration of nutrition into healthcare practice.
