During lucid dreaming you're aware of being in a dream and can even direct the action. Unfortunately (for adults) lucid dreaming is most common in children. In a recent study 58% of 6-year-olds reported lucid dreaming; by age 19 that number plummeted to just 7%. Share this post with friends to see if they've been able to steer the action in a dream.

Research from Brown University suggests that mindfulness meditation can help control cortical alpha rhythms, which studies show can help determine which sensations we pay attention to.
