Dr. Sayyar Muhammad, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Islamia College Peshawar has successfully completed his 9-month HEC-funded Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (Phase III, Batch IV) at the Environment and Sustainability Institute, University of Exeter, UK. During the fellowship, he conducted research on semiconductor photoelectrodes for sustainable hydrogen production through photoelectrochemical water splitting and received advanced training in modern research and characterization techniques.
His achievements include two international journal publications, two manuscripts under review and research collaborations with leading UK institutions. He also received the Best Presentation Award at the Great Western Electrochemistry Conference at the University of Bath and was recognized among the top three presentations at the HIRRA-2 International Workshop at Teesside University. Dr. Sayyar has rejoined Islamia College Peshawar and is committed to transferring the knowledge, expertise and international research linkages gained during the fellowship to strengthen renewable energy research and postgraduate education at ICP.
