16th White Coat Ceremony Welcomes New MBBS Batch at Pak International Medical College

The 16th White Coat Ceremony of Pak International Medical College (PIMC) was held on Saturday to welcome the new batch of first-year MBBS students. The ceremony, marking the students' formal entry into the medical profession, was attended by faculty members, parents, and distinguished guests.

Brigadier Ameer Muhammad Khan, Administrator of Fauji Foundation Hospital, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Chairman PIMC, Prof. Dr. Tariq Safi, and Prof. Dr. Farhat Safi were the guests of honor.

Addressing the gathering, Principal and Dean of PIMC, Prof. Dr. Amin Jan, administered the oath to the new students, emphasizing the values of dedication, compassion, and ethical medical practice. A workshop on Neonatal Resuscitation was recently held at Pak International Medical College and Peshawar Institute of Medical Sciences, with the objective of enhancing neonatal care skills among healthcare professionals. The session was led by Dr. Samina Shams Alam, Assistant Professor at the Nursery Department of Hayatabad Medical Complex, who provided expert guidance on the latest resuscitation protocols and techniques.

The workshop covered essential topics, including airway management, ventilation, and chest compressions, offering both theoretical knowledge and practical training. This initiative aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills to effectively manage neonatal emergencies and improve outcomes for newborns in critical situations.
