EERI UET Peshawar Student Chapter

EERI UET Peshawar Student Chapter Earthquake Engineering Research Institute(EERI) UET Peshawar Students Chapter is the first of its kind in Pakistan.

It has been recently approved by Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, Oakland, California, as it's first students chapter in Pakistan The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) is a nonprofit, technical society of engineers, geoscientists, architects, planners, public officials, and social scientists. EERI members include researchers, practicing professionals, educators, government

officials, and building code regulators. The objective of EERI is to reduce earthquake risk by advancing the science and practice of earthquake engineering, by improving understanding of the impact of earthquakes on the physical, social, economic, political and cultural environment, and by advocating comprehensive and realistic measures for reducing the harmful effects of earthquakes.

Drone footage capture the extent of damage in Italy earthquake. Most of the buildings that were damaged were old unreinforced masonry buildings which highlight the fact that URM buildings in Italy remain vulenrable to earthquakes.
