Closing Ceremony of Aman Kor Winter Camp 2026 Held at BRAINS Institute, Peshawar
A humble yet deeply impactful Closing Ceremony of the Winter Camp for Aman Kor School Children was held at BRAINS Institute, Peshawar, marking the successful conclusion of a three-week educational and rehabilitation programme hosted by the Institute.
The ceremony was attended by eminent educationists, civil society leaders, and stakeholders committed to the welfare and education of underprivileged children.
Proceedings & Speakers
Prof. Dr. Abdur Rauf and Mr. Salman Hassan, Patron and Focal Person of Aman Kor, in their opening remarks, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all partners and especially to BRAINS Institute for hosting and supporting the Winter Camp with sincerity and vision, contributing significantly to its success.
Other distinguished speakers on the occasion included Mr. Aslam Meer, Dr. Abdul Janan, and Prof. Naseer Khattak, who appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of sustained educational and rehabilitative support for vulnerable children.
Keynote Address
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Aqeel Razaq, President of HOPE – Union of Educational Institutions, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He congratulated the organisers and hosts on this noble initiative and made a landmark commitment on behalf of HOPE:
To accommodate any number of underprivileged and State Children, free of charge, across private educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
This announcement was received with great appreciation and was widely acknowledged as a transformative step toward inclusive education.
Closing Address
The closing address was delivered by Mr. Zafar Ullah Khan,
Founder of the State Children initiative and Zamong Kor – the flagship Street Children Project, and Rector, BRAINS Institute, the host institution of the Winter Camp.
In his address, he:
• acknowledged the kind support and cooperation of Mr. Riaz Khan, President, Peshawar Press Club,
• appreciated the collaboration of China Window, Peshawar Museum,
• thanked Jwand Parast Band, renowned poet and scholar Mr. Abasin Yousafzai,
• and extended gratitude to Mr. Atta Ullah Khan, Mr. Farid Ullah Khan, Mr. Kashif-ud-Din, Mr. Zia-ul-Haq, and Mr. Riaz Khan,
• as well as Resident Editor Daily Ausaf, all speakers, participants, and organisers.
He particularly lauded Mr. Aqeel Razaq for his strong and actionable commitment toward free education for underprivileged children.
Mr. Khan congratulated the students on receiving their Certificates of Achievement, reaffirmed BRAINS Institute’s commitment to offering lifelong educational pathways to these children, and pledged continued institutional support to Aman Kor to excel as a leading rehabilitation centre in the northern region.
In his concluding remarks, he expressed his firm resolve to:
• make Pakistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular, an Education Hub, and
• transform the province into a Child-Safe Zone, serving as a model for the rest of the country.
He also acknowledged and appreciated the unwavering support of Mr. Asad Qaiser and Dr. Mehr Taj Roghani for the envisaged Charter and Declaration for the State Children.

A message from Mr. Asad Qaiser, Patron-in-Chief of the State Children initiative and the erstwhile Zamong Korproject, was conveyed through Mr. Zafar Ullah Khan. Due to being out of station, Mr. Qaiser could not attend the ceremony; however, he reiterated his unflinching support for the cause.
He affirmed his commitment to:
• making all-out efforts to convene a National Convention for declaring Pakistan a Child-Safe Country, and
• beginning this national journey by declaring Peshawar as a Pilot Education & Child-Safe City, to serve as a replicable model nationwide.

🌟 Winter Camp 2026 – Opening Session 🌟
Students of Aman Kor School, Buner, currently participating in the Winter Camp at BRAINS Institute, Peshawar, visited the Peshawar Press Club on the kind invitation of Mr. Riaz Khan, President-Elect.
The opening session was held in an inspiring manner, featuring voices of the children alongside Mr. Salman Khan, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rauf, Prof. Dr. Najib Ullah, Mr . Atta Ullah Khan , Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shafi Afridi, Mr. Riaz Khan, and Mr. Zafarullah Khan, Rector, BRAINS Institute.

Honoured to Participate at CAIDS-2025 — Islamabad 🇵🇰
I was pleased to represent BRAINS Institute, Peshawar at the 3rd International Conference on Recent Advances in Computing, Artificial Intelligence & Data Sciences (CAIDS-2025), graciously hosted by Riphah International University, Islamabad. For the third consecutive year, the conference successfully brought together leading universities, policymakers, researchers, and industry stakeholders on a common academic platform.
📌 The conference provided a vibrant forum for knowledge exchange, research dissemination, and inter-institutional collaboration in emerging domains of computing, AI, and data sciences—reflecting the growing national relevance and academic maturity of this initiative.

Students Start-Up Business Summit 2025: A Step Towards Shaping the Future of Entrepreneurship
COMSATS University Islamabad, Attock Campus successfully hosted the highly anticipated Students Start-Up Business Summit 2025 under the theme “Shaping the Future of Entrepreneurship.” The event was a testament to student innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and strong university–industry collaboration.
A key highlight of the summit was the official launch of the Students Start-Up Business Center (SSBC), a hub designed to support student startups through mentorship, training, and industry linkages. The summit featured insightful talks and panel discussions with distinguished leaders from academia, industry, banking, technology, public policy, and entrepreneurship, covering crucial topics like startups, leadership, AI, fintech, sustainability, and agri-preneurship.
Students actively participated in a business ideas pitching competition, where they showcased their innovative concepts before an expert jury. Additionally, startup stalls and prototype displays provided a rich networking and learning experience for all attendees.
The event concluded with the announcement of the winners and awards for Best Pitch, Most Innovative Idea, Best Social Impact Startup, and People’s Choice Award, followed by certificate distribution.

A meeting was convened between the SO Chairman, Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Engr. Salman, and a delegation from BRAINS Institute comprising Director Dr. M. Zeeshan Ahad, Engr. Zubair Khan JUI and Pro-Director Academics Engr. Abdul Basit Khan. The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere.
During the discussion, Engr. Salman underscored the significance of enhancing the institutional image of BRAINS Institute and encouraged the development of national and international academic collaborations. He further emphasized the importance of organizing seminars, workshops, and short courses in coordination with PEC to promote the professional capacity building of engineering students and to strengthen the institute’s position as a reputable academic entity.
He commended the remarkable progress of BRAINS Institute as an emerging Center of Excellence under the leadership of Dr. M. Zeeshan Ahad and expressed his intent to foster continued collaboration between PEC and BRAINS Institute. Moreover, he acknowledged the pivotal role of Engr. Zubair Khan, young leader of JUI, in serving as a bridge between the two organizations—an effort he termed instrumental in paving the way for future strategic and productive partnerships.
