The AAC & Chairman GIT, Katlang Mr. Qaisar Hussain Mughal along with ADO, PTB Mr. Abdul Rehman visited the Pakistan To***co Company's Jamal Garhi Point and met with Area Manager and inquired about the current purchase situation and quota remaining for agreement holders. He instructed the company manager to facilitate the farmers UpTo maximum level. Further he visited the Khyber To***co Company and interacted with farmers. Farmers complained that the company is involved in low pricing and purchasing their maximum volume from the middle men/dealers. Then the AAC strictly warned the company manager to settle these issues and compensate the farmers as the farmers are already facing financial issues. Further he instructed the company to not come extra persons at the depot. He also assured the farmers that his office is always open for farmers. The farmers were thankful for this visit.

Afterwards the AAC visited a place used in To***co business and that was unauthorized and not declared by any company or dealer. The said place was promptly sealed and all the records and CNICs of persons engaged collected/seaized.

The Secretary Pakistan To***co Board Mr. Fakhruddin SB visited Shergarh area purchase points along with ADD Mr. Adres Khan sb on dated 18/08/2026. PTC, PMPKL, KTC and UTC were visited and inspected these companies purchase records. Companies were guided to purchase according to PTB marketing rules, any company found in violation will be fined and sealed.

A joint field visit to Charbagh area, Swabi was conducted by the Deputy Commissioner Swabi and Chairperson GIT, along with the PTB ADO, grower representative, and Agriculture Department representatives.
During the visit, Falcon To***co Company and Khyber To***co Company were found offering low prices and entertaining dealers; therefore, their purchase points were sealed. The Manager of Souvenir To***co Company, Roshan Abad, was also questioned regarding non-purchase of to***co, and his ID card was taken for record.
The team later visited PMI Charbagh, where to***co purchase arrangements were found satisfactory and in full compliance with Pakistan To***co Board Marketing Control Rules. The team appreciated PMI management for maintaining satisfactory procurement practices and full cooperation with farmers.

On 12th August 2026, the second batch of Botany Department internship students from Government Postgraduate College (GPGC), Mansehra, received their internship completion certificates.
The certificate distribution ceremony was graced by Dr. Zulfiqar (Professor, GPGC Mansehra), Dr. Zain-ul-Abideen (Farm Manager, TRSS Mansehra) and Mr. M. Ubaidullah Aleem (ADO PTB, Mansehra).

The governor inspection team (GIT) visited the Jamal Garhi area purchase centers.
Sealed Asia To***co Company, Kodinaka for complaints of low rates and not proper record maintenance.
Khyber To***co Company manager's CNIC collected and warned to start purchase till 2pm today. Royal To***co Company was also visited for not opening but the manager was not found and then he was telephonically informed to visit the AAC office as soon as possible.
PTC and PMI Company were also inspected. Farmers complained at PTC for not purchasing bottom. Farmers were satisfied at the PMI depot. The Additional Assistant Commissioner (Qaisar Mughal) instructed PTC to purchase all plant positions from farmers and some farmer's contact numbers were also collected for further feedback. Further he also shared his PA's number there. Farmers appreciated the GIT visit.

شیرگڑھ میں تمباکو کمپنیوں کا معائنہ، کسانوں کے مفادات کے تحفظ کے لیے کاروائی، خلاف ورزی پر ایک کمپنی سیل
ایڈیشنل اسسٹنٹ کمشنر تخت بھائی منیزہ نے اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر پاکستان ٹوبیکو بورڈ کامران خان کے ہمراہ شیرگڑھ کے مختلف علاقوں میں قائم تمباکو کمپنیوں کا تفصیلی معائنہ کیا۔

معائنے کا مقصد تمباکو کی غیر قانونی خریداری، مقررہ نرخوں کی خلاف ورزی، خریداری کے ریکارڈ میں بے ضابطگیوں اور دیگر ایسے طریقہ کار کی جانچ کرنا تھا جو علاقے کے تمباکو کاشتکاروں کے مفادات کو متاثر کر سکتے ہیں۔ اس موقع پر کمپنیوں کے خریداری کے طریقہ کار اور متعلقہ قواعد و ضوابط پر عملدرآمد کا بھی جائزہ لیا گیا۔
معائنے کے دوران ایک کمپنی میں خلاف ورزی سامنے آنے پر مذکورہ کمپنی کو سیل کر دیا گیا اور قانون کے مطابق مزید کاروائی عمل میں لائی جا رہی ہے۔ متعلقہ حکام نے واضح کیا کہ تمباکو کاشتکاروں کے حقوق اور مقررہ نرخوں کے تحفظ کے لیے قوانین کی خلاف ورزی کسی صورت برداشت نہیں کی جائے گی۔

ضلعی انتظامیہ مردان نے واضح کیا کہ تمباکو کی خریداری کے عمل میں شفافیت، مقررہ نرخوں پر عملدرآمد اور کاشتکاروں کے مفادات کے تحفظ کے لیے نگرانی اور انفورسمنٹ کاروائیاں آئندہ بھی جاری رہیں گی۔

چیئرمین پاکستان ٹوبیکو بورڈ، محمد شاہد حسین نے تمام غیر رجسٹرڈ تمباکو خریداران، ڈیلرز، ایکسپورٹرز، گودام مالکان اور دیگر متعلقہ افراد کو متنبہ کیا ہے کہ پاکستان ٹوبیکو بورڈ آرڈیننس، 1968 (ایم ایل او-487) اور تمباکو مارکیٹنگ کنٹرول رولز، 2016 کے تحت صرف پاکستان ٹوبیکو بورڈ سے رجسٹرڈ اور لائسنس یافتہ خریداران ہی تمباکو کی خریداری، ذخیرہ، نقل و حمل اور کاروبار کے مجاز ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ کسی بھی غیر رجسٹرڈ فرد، کمپنی یا ادارے کی جانب سے تمباکو کی خریداری، ذخیرہ اندوزی، نقل و حمل یا کاروبار قانوناً ممنوع اور قابلِ تعزیر جرم ہے۔ پاکستان ٹوبیکو بورڈ، ضلعی انتظامیہ اور قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں کے تعاون سے ایسے عناصر کے خلاف بلاامتیاز سخت قانونی کارروائی عمل میں لائے گا تاکہ تمباکو کی خریداری کا نظام قانون کے مطابق اور شفاف بنایا جا سکے۔

چیئرمین نے تمام تمباکو کاشتکاروں سے اپیل کی کہ وہ اپنی پیداوار صرف پاکستان ٹوبیکو بورڈ سے رجسٹرڈ اور لائسنس یافتہ خریداران کو فروخت کریں تاکہ وہ مالی نقصان، دھوکہ دہی اور قانونی پیچیدگیوں سے محفوظ رہ سکیں۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ تمام غیر رجسٹرڈ کمپنیوں، ڈیلرز، ایکسپورٹرز، اداروں اور گودام مالکان تمباکو کی خریداری یا اس سے متعلق کسی بھی کاروباری سرگرمی کے آغاز سے قبل پاکستان ٹوبیکو بورڈ سے اپنی رجسٹریشن/لائسنس مکمل کریں، بصورت دیگر ان کے خلاف قانون کے مطابق سخت کارروائی عمل میں لائی جائے گی۔

چیئرمین محمد شاہد حسین نے اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا کہ پاکستان ٹوبیکو بورڈ تمباکو کی قانونی خریداری، کاشتکاروں کے حقوق کے تحفظ اور تمباکو مارکیٹنگ کے نظام میں شفافیت کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے تمام متعلقہ اداروں کے ساتھ بھرپور تعاون جاری رکھے گا۔

The Chairman, Pakistan To***co Board (PTB), visited the Philip Morris Pakistan (PMI) Eatham Purchase Centre today on Aug 05, 2026 to review the to***co procurement process.
During the visit, the Chairman inquired about the procedure for issuance of growers' purchase vouchers. The PMI management demonstrated the complete voucher issuance process and explained how growers' information is recorded and maintained during procurement.
The PTB IT Expert also discussed the integration of procurement data with the PTB digital system. In response, the PMI management delivered a detailed presentation explaining how growers' vouchers and their basic information can be uploaded to the PTB application. They further outlined the proposed mechanism for aligning PMI's digital procurement system with the PTB application to facilitate accurate, timely, and transparent data sharing.
The visit concluded with a technical discussion on enhancing coordination between PTB and PMI through improved digital integration and standardized data management practices.
