All the activities and and Affairs of the city state so it's called Politics. It was the form of the state which the ancient greeks had in their country

The Ancient Greek :
The Ancient Greek also undertook a close study of these affairs and activities of their city-state, which also they called politics.

The Word Polis :
the term Polis of the ancient greek language.

What is politics?
Politics is a " game of power " it is a struggle or confrontation ( competition with people ) between two or more political parties

persons with a view to control the government so that one of them may
impose ( nafez Karna ) its or his decision or policy on other by means of governmental powers and authority.

What is science?
Science means a systematic knowledge, acquired by analytical observation and experiments,
which provide us with uniform and valid ( Valid means : according to Law) laws and principles.

2 Social science :
In Society we Study Two things
i ) society and
ii ) human life in a society.

Political science, economic, sociology etc are social sciences also called non-exact

science.
The result of non exact science cannot represent or Truth and their laws are not always and everywhere valid ( according to Law ).
In short they are variable.
