Prof. Dr. Jamshed Ali Khan
(Ph.D in Pharmaceutics)
He is currently working as the Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy, University of Peshawar.
His current research work is focused in following areas:
1. Developing the formulation of pharmaceuticals.
2. Method development for HPLC analysis of different drugs.
3. Studying the antibacterial resistance in hospital and community setups and development of guidelines to treat resistant infections.

Dr. Fawad Mahmood has successfully defended his PhD thesis titled "SYNTHSIS AND BIOLOGICAL POTENTIALS OF NITRO-BUTANALS AND ITS CARBOXYLIC ACID DERIVATIVES", under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jamshaid Ali Khan Chairman, Department of Pharmacy, University of Peshawar and co-supervision of Dr. Abdul Sadiq, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy, University of Malakand Chakdara Dir Lower.
External examiner was Prof. Dr. Syed Atif Raza, Principal Lahore College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab and internal examiner was Prof. Dr. Fazli Nasir Department of Pharmacy, University of Peshawar.
Large numbers of scholars, Pharmacy professionals from Government and Private sectors participated in the public defence.

Congratulations Dr. Sadia Parvez! 💐
Dr. Sadia Pervez has successfully defended PhD dissertation titled “A SMART APPROACH TO ENHANCE TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY OF GLIMEPRIDE USING HYBRID MICRONEEDLES".
She completed her studies under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fazli Nasir.
External examiner was Dr. Saeed Ahmed Khan, Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST), and internal examiner was Dr. Jamshed Ali khan, Chairman Department of Pharmacy, University of Peshawar.
Her PhD thesis explored the potential of microneedles for the delivery of Glimepride, for targeted drug delivery and in type 2 diabetic patients.
The findings of the research showed that microneedles can achieve highly efficient localized drug delivery, reducing the required dose of Glimepride compared to conventional oral tablets.
This mode of treatment will increase better patient compliance of diabetic patients and open doors to incorporate more anti diabetic drugs into microneedles.
