TechVerse 2026 provided an exciting platform for students and technology enthusiasts to compete, collaborate, and showcase their abilities.

SID - Secured IoT Devices Lab - UET Peshawar, joined TechVerse 2026 as a Community Partner. Dr. Safdar Marwat, Director SID Lab, and Sumaiqa Alam contributed to the event as judges. The SID Lab Robotics Team, comprising Syed Zawar Shah, Muhammad Ali, and Sher Nawaz, took part in the competition, showcasing their technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

A valuable opportunity to connect, compete, and inspire through technology.

SID Lab Alumna at Erasmus+ Istanbul 2026 🇵🇰 🇹🇷🇪🇺

Our alumna, Engr. Sehrish Mudassar participated in the Erasmus+ Digital Innovation in Education Week, organized by the Erasmus Mobility Academy in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 3-7 August 2026.

The international training brought together educators and professionals from across the globe to explore AI-assisted learning, digital tools for students with special needs, ICT-enhanced language learning, inclusive education, and emerging educational technologies.

Her participation reflects the growing role of engineers and professionals in bringing technology, innovation, and inclusive practices into 21st-century education.

She holds a Master's degree in Computer Systems Engineering and is the founder of The Learning Haven School.

STEAM UP Summer Camp 2026 (Batch 2) concluded with a memorable Closing Ceremony, reflecting UET Peshawar's commitment to empowering young minds through experiential STEAM education.

The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sadiq Khattak, Vice Chancellor, UET Peshawar, who encouraged participants to embrace curiosity, innovation, Artificial Intelligence, and emerging technologies while appreciating the enthusiasm of the young learners and the dedication of the organizing team.

Dr. Safdar Marwat, Director, SID - Secured IoT Devices Lab - UET Peshawar, reaffirmed the lab's commitment to inspiring the next generation of innovators through hands-on learning, creativity, and technology-driven education. The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Dr. Rizwan Mahmood Gul, Senior Dean; Dr. Khizer Azam, Registrar; Dr. Arif Khattak, Director ORIC UET Peshawar; Prof. Dr. Laiq Hasan; Prof. Dr. Gulzar Ahmad; and Engr. Fawad Haider, Director, Career Development Center (CDC), along with senior faculty members and parents of participating students.

Congratulations to Alishbah Shafique, Research Scholar at the SID - Secured IoT Devices Lab - UET Peshawar on being selected from across Pakistan to participate in the Pak-China Engineering Capacity Building Program 2026.

Held from 20–29 July 2026 at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology - HKUST (Guangzhou), China, the 10-day program was jointly organized by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and the Chinese Society of Engineers (CSE) under the theme "AI-Driven Innovation: Co-Creating the Future." The program featured technical sessions, industrial visits, and expert discussions, providing valuable international exposure to AI, engineering, and smart infrastructure innovations.

This achievement reflects the growing research excellence and global engagement of young researchers from SID Lab. Best wishes to Alishbah for continued success in her academic and research journey.
