Capacity Building Training on Operational Sustainability
Dates: 29–31 July 2026

Participant: Board of Directors (BoD) Member – KP Chapter
From 29th to 31st July 2026, I had the opportunity to participate in the Three-Day Capacity Building Training on Operational Sustainability, organized by Bargad and VSO in Peshawar. The training brought together the seven Board of Directors (BoD) members of the KP Chapter to strengthen organizational leadership, governance, sustainability, and institutional development.
The first day focused on Leadership, Strategic Planning, Annual Planning, Resource Mobilization, Proposal Writing, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E). Through interactive discussions and practical activities, participants enhanced their understanding of organizational vision, planning processes, fundraising strategies, and results-based management.
The second day covered Policy Advocacy, Financial Management, Budgeting, Organizational Management, Human Resource Systems, and Legal Compliance. These sessions equipped participants with practical knowledge of financial accountability, organizational policies, compliance requirements, and effective governance.
The final day emphasized SEGA (Social Inclusion & Accountability), Organizational Communication Strategy, Branding, Stakeholder Engagement, and Action Planning. Interactive exercises encouraged participants to develop inclusive organizational approaches and strengthen communication and branding for greater community impact.
Throughout the training, every session included group activities, practical exercises, discussions, and collaborative learning, enabling participants to apply theoretical concepts in real-life organizational contexts.
The training concluded with certificate distribution, closing remarks, and a group photograph, marking the successful completion of a valuable learning experience. It significantly strengthened the capacity of the KP Chapter's Board of Directors and enhanced our ability to build sustainable, accountable, and impactful organizations.
Special thanks to Bargad, VSO, all facilitators, and resource persons for delivering such an informative and engaging learning experience.
