A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Bannu and Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar, at Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital, Bannu.
The agreement focuses on providing paid internship opportunities for nursing students to gain practical experience in a real hospital environment.
The MoU was formally signed by Ms. Zaifa Gul, Nursing Director at MTI Bannu, along with the leadership of Sarhad University. Representing the Institute of Nursing Sciences, Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar, were Director Ms. Shaheen Ghani, Prof. Dr. Nasreen Ghani, and Assistant Professor Mr. Noor Zaman Khan. Dr. Iftikhar Ullah, Hospital Director MTI Bannu, was also present on the occasion.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to enhance practical training opportunities for nursing students, enabling them to develop their professional skills and competencies in a clinical setting.
This initiative is expected to not only strengthen the clinical abilities of students but also improve the overall standard of patient care within the hospital. Well-trained nursing professionals will play a vital role in advancing healthcare services and ensuring better medical facilities across different regions.
MTI Bannu remains committed to integrating education with practical training, aiming to establish a system where students receive high-quality learning opportunities while the public benefits from improved healthcare services.

๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ (OSCE) for 7th semester Bachelor of Science in Nursing students, for the subject ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐ ๐ต๐๐๐๐๐๐ (CCN), was conducted at the ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ต๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology (SUIT), Peshawar.
The OSCE, organized as a practical examination for the subject, consisted of four different stations, each designed to evaluate important clinical skills and knowledge related to critical care nursing. At every station, students were required to analyze clinical scenarios, demonstrate appropriate nursing procedures, and apply their theoretical understanding in simulated patient care situations under the supervision of faculty members.
This structured examination provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their clinical skills, improve critical thinking, and build confidence in managing critical care situations. The successful completion of the OSCE reflects the Instituteโs commitment to practical learning, fair assessment, and maintaining high standards in nursing education.

In a significant recognition of academic excellence and professional leadership, Ms. Shaheen Ghani, Director of the Institute of Nursing Sciences at Sarhad University of Science & Information Technology, Peshawar, has been selected as a permanent member of the Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC), Islamabad.
Ms. Ghaniโs appointment is particularly distinguished as she has been chosen to represent the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Her selection to the apex regulatory body for nursing and midwifery in the country underscores her exceptional contributions to the field of nursing education and healthcare.
Sarhad University community has welcomed the news with immense pride, viewing it as a testament to the institution's commitment to quality education and professional development.
This achievement is not only a personal honor for Ms. Ghani but also brings laurels to Sarhad University. Mr. Gulshan Iqbalโs examination was guided by Mr. Ihsan Ullah as the Internal Supervisor, with Mrs. Afsha Awal Khan, former Principal of the Farkhanda Institute of Nursing, serving as the External Examiner.

During the visit, students explored multiple schools in the area, engaging with children to raise awareness about hygiene, sanitation, and healthy lifestyle practices. They organized interactive sessions, encouraged discussions, and spent time playing with the students to make learning enjoyable.

During the visit, they went to several schools where they interacted with students, shared lessons on hygiene and disease prevention, and spent quality time playing and engaging with the children.
This hands-on experience allowed the students to better understand the health needs of the community, while improving their skills in communication, teaching, assessment, and teamwork.
