In the world of education, some ceremonies are limited to stages, trophies, and photographs, while others reflect an institution’s educational philosophy, leadership vision, and commitment to shaping future generations. The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony at Beaconhouse School System, Race Course Campus, was one such event that beautifully combined academic excellence, national awareness, character building, parental involvement, and student achievement.
From the program details and photographs, it was evident that the ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, highlighting the importance of spiritual and moral values in education. This was followed by the National Anthem, where students, teachers, and parents collectively expressed their love and commitment to Pakistan. Modern educational research suggests that schools which integrate citizenship, national identity, and social responsibility into their academic and co-curricular activities are more successful in developing leadership qualities, tolerance, and civic awareness among students.
The presentations on the theme of “Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan” were not merely stage performances; they served as a meaningful effort to familiarize the younger generation with the vision of Pakistan’s founding father and the responsibilities of being productive citizens. At a time when societies across the world are facing challenges related to identity, social cohesion, and ethical values, the role of schools in nurturing responsible and informed citizens has become increasingly significant.
Educational experts agree that annual award ceremonies play a vital role in students’ psychological and emotional development. Public recognition of a child’s hard work boosts confidence, strengthens motivation, and inspires other students to strive for excellence. This is why leading educational institutions around the world celebrate not only academic success but also achievements in sports, arts, leadership, community service, and creativity.
Another remarkable aspect of the event was the active participation of parents. Research consistently shows that when parents are engaged in school activities, students demonstrate improved academic performance, stronger attendance records, better behavior, and greater self-confidence. Under the dynamic leadership of Principal Muneeza Zubair, Beaconhouse Race Course Campus has demonstrated that a strong educational vision, effective management, and a dedicated teaching team can produce excellence in both academics and character development. The institution’s emphasis on environmental awareness, research, critical thinking, and holistic learning reflects the qualities expected of modern educational organizations.
The presence of Ms. Rafia Javed Additional Director Registration, Private Schools Sindh, as the Chief Guest further highlighted the importance of such educational initiatives. Her message that students should be prepared “not only for examinations but for life and the world” perfectly aligns with contemporary educational philosophies and global learning standards.
In essence, the Beaconhouse Race Course Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was far more than an awards event. On 18 June 2026, a high-level delegation led by the learned Deputy Commissioner Larkana, Mr. Tariq Manzoor Chandio, visited the Inclusive Education Training Centre at Government Elementary College for Men, Larkana. The delegation included Mr. Shahabuddin Uddin Mallah, Director General PITE; Mr. Khalil Ahmed Mahar, Director School Education Primary Region Larkana; Mr. Anees ur Rehman Jalbani, DEO Primary Larkana; Mr. Abdul Rasheed Chandio, DEO ESHS Larkana; Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Shaikh; and Mr. Ali Muzafar Lahori, AEO Primary.
During the visit, certificates were distributed among participants who successfully completed the training programme. The officials also interacted with the trainees to learn about their experiences and reflections. The visiting officers highly appreciated the efforts of the School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, in collaboration with PITE and HANDS Pakistan, for organizing this important initiative for head teachers, teachers, and School Management Committee chairpersons.
The officers observed that inclusive education is one of the most effective approaches to ensuring that every child, regardless of disability, social background, religion, ethnicity, or economic condition, has equal access to quality education. They noted that such programmes address the real challenges faced by children with disabilities and reflect the department’s strong commitment to creating an equitable and child-friendly education system.
Special recognition was given to Mr. Khalil Ahmed Mahar, Director School Education Primary Region Larkana, for his visionary leadership, dedication, and continuous support in promoting inclusive education across the region. His commitment to educational reforms, teacher development, and equitable learning opportunities has contributed significantly to strengthening the culture of inclusion within schools.
The delegation also appreciated the role of the Master Trainers, whose professionalism, expertise, and dedication enabled participants to gain practical knowledge and skills for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
Expressing optimism for the future, the officials hoped that the trained educators and community representatives would further strengthen coordination between schools and communities, help identify out-of-school children, and ensure that every child is given the opportunity to learn, participate, and succeed in an inclusive educational environment.

تعليم ڪنهن به قوم جي ترقي جو بنياد هوندي آهي، ۽ معياري تعليم جو دارومدار قابل، باصلاحيت ۽ جديد ڄاڻ رکندڙ استادن تي هوندو آهي. استادن جي پيشاورانه صلاحيتن کي وڌيڪ بهتر بڻائڻ لاءِ گورنمينٽ هاءِ اسڪول حسن علي شاهه، پيڪيج-III، ڪشمور-I ۾ آر ايف پي-7 تحت ٽن ڏينهن تي مشتمل مسلسل پيشاورانه ترقي (CPD) جي تربيت منعقد ڪئي وئي، جنهن جو اهتمام سنڌ رورل سپورٽ آرگنائيزيشن (SRSO) اسڪول ايجوڪيشن اينڊ لٽريسي ڊپارٽمينٽ، حڪومتِ سنڌ جي سهڪار سان ڪيو.
هن تربيت جو مقصد استادن کي جديد تعليمي لاڙن، ڊجيٽل سکيا، مصنوعي ذهانت (AI)، ٽيچنگ ايٽ دي رائيٽ ليول (TaRL) ۽ ابتدائي ٻاراڻي تعليم (ECD) بابت عملي ڄاڻ ۽ مهارتون فراهم ڪرڻ هو. تربيت دوران استادن کي ڊجيٽل اوزارن جي استعمال، سبق فائونڊيشن جي تعليمي مواد ۽ مصنوعي ذهانت جي ذريعي تدريس کي وڌيڪ اثرائتو بڻائڻ بابت سکيا ڏني وئي.
اڄ جي دور ۾ ٽيڪنالاجي تعليم جو اهم حصو بڻجي چڪي آهي. ڊجيٽل سکيا نه رڳو تدريس کي دلچسپ بڻائي ٿي، پر شاگردن جي سکيا جي عمل کي به وڌيڪ مؤثر ۽ بامقصد بڻائي ٿي. تربيت دوران استادن کي اهو به سيکاريو ويو ته هو جديد اوزارن جي مدد سان شاگردن جي ضرورتن مطابق تدريس جا طريقا ڪيئن اختيار ڪري سگهن ٿا.
ٽريننگ ۾ Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) تي خاص ڌيان ڏنو ويو، جنهن جو مقصد هر ٻار کي سندس سکيا جي سطح مطابق تعليم فراهم ڪرڻ آهي. اهڙي ريت Early Childhood Development (ECD) جي سيشنن ۾ ٻارن جي ابتدائي عمر جي سکيا ۽ تربيت جي اهميت کي اجاگر ڪيو ويو، ڇاڪاڻ ته ٻار جي شخصيت ۽ ذهني واڌ ويجهه جو بنياد انهن ئي شروعاتي سالن ۾ رکيو ويندو آهي.
تعليمي ماهرن موجب استادن جي مسلسل تربيت سندن تدريس جي معيار کي بهتر بڻائي ٿي، جنهن جا مثبت اثر شاگردن جي تعليمي ڪارڪردگي تي پڻ پوندا آهن. نئين ڄاڻ، جديد طريقن ۽ ٽيڪنالاجي سان واقفيت استادن کي وڌيڪ بااعتماد ۽ مؤثر بڻائي ٿي.
هن ڪامياب تربيت مان ظاهر ٿئي ٿو ته SRSO ۽ اسڪول ايجوڪيشن اينڊ لٽريسي ڊپارٽمينٽ، حڪومتِ سنڌ صوبي ۾ تعليم جي معيار کي بهتر بڻائڻ لاءِ سنجيده ۽ عملي قدم کڻي رهيا آهن. استادن جي پيشاورانه ترقي ۾ سيڙپڪاري دراصل مستقبل جي نسلن جي بهتري ۾ سيڙپڪاري آهي.

Anum Amir Soomro’s Remarkable Achievement: A Shining Example of Quality Education and STEAM Learning

Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education has become an essential driver of innovation and development. When students from government schools demonstrate their abilities at national and international levels, their success not only reflects personal achievement but also brings pride to the entire education system.
A recent example of such excellence is Anum Amir Soomro, a student of Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) KB Contractor, Karachi, who has been selected among the Top 10 students from more than 600 applicants for the prestigious STEAM Pakistan Mentorship Program. The seven-month program provides participants with opportunities to learn from experts, develop advanced skills, engage in innovative projects, and further enhance their academic and professional potential.
Anum’s achievement is the result of her dedication, passion for learning, creativity, and outstanding academic performance. Her impressive portfolio and exceptional abilities helped her stand out among hundreds of candidates. During the orientation session held at Pak Tower, Karachi, she officially received her selection letter, marking an important milestone in her educational journey.

سندھ کے سرکاری ملازمین کے ساتھ امتیازی سلوک کب ختم ہوگا؟

ملک کے سرکاری ملازمین ریاستی نظام کی ریڑھ کی ہڈی کی حیثیت رکھتے ہیں۔ وہی ملازمین تعلیمی اداروں، ہسپتالوں، پولیس، انتظامیہ اور دیگر سرکاری شعبوں کو چلانے میں بنیادی کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔ لیکن افسوس کے ساتھ کہنا پڑتا ہے کہ پاکستان میں سرکاری ملازمین کے ساتھ مساوی سلوک کا اصول عملاً نظر نہیں آتا۔ خصوصاً سندھ کے سرکاری ملازمین ایک طویل عرصے سے تنخواہوں، الاؤنسز اور دیگر مالی مراعات کے حوالے سے واضح امتیازی رویوں کا شکار ہیں۔

وفاقی حکومت اپنے ملازمین کو مختلف ناموں سے متعدد الاؤنسز اور خصوصی پیکیجز فراہم کرتی ہے۔ ڈسپیرٹی ریڈکشن الاؤنس، یوٹیلٹی الاؤنس، ایگزیکٹو الاؤنس، خصوصی مراعات اور دیگر سہولیات وقتاً فوقتاً بڑھائی جاتی ہیں۔ اس کے برعکس صوبائی ملازمین، خصوصاً سندھ کے ملازمین، ان سہولیات سے یا تو مکمل طور پر محروم رہتے ہیں یا انہیں انتہائی محدود پیمانے پر فوائد دیے جاتے ہیں۔ سوال یہ ہے کہ کیا صوبائی ملازمین بھی اسی ریاست کے ملازم نہیں؟ کیا وہ عوامی خدمت میں وفاقی ملازمین سے کم کردار ادا کر رہے ہیں؟

مزید افسوسناک بات یہ ہے کہ خود صوبائی سطح پر بھی ملازمین کے درمیان عدم مساوات موجود ہے۔ سندھ سیکریٹریٹ میں کام کرنے والے ملازمین کو مختلف خصوصی الاؤنسز اور مراعات دی جاتی ہیں جبکہ ضلعی، تعلقہ اور یونین کونسل کی سطح پر خدمات انجام دینے والے ہزاروں فیلڈ ملازمین ان مراعات سے محروم رہتے ہیں۔ حالانکہ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ عوام کو براہِ راست خدمات فراہم کرنے والے یہی فیلڈ ملازمین ہیں جو دور دراز علاقوں، دیہی بستیوں، صحرائی خطوں، کچے کے علاقوں اور بنیادی سہولیات سے محروم مقامات پر اپنی ذمہ داریاں نبھاتے ہیں۔

ایک استاد دور افتادہ گاؤں میں بچوں کو تعلیم دیتا ہے، ایک ہیلتھ ورکر بنیادی طبی سہولیات فراہم کرتا ہے، ایک زرعی افسر کسانوں کی رہنمائی کرتا ہے اور دیگر فیلڈ ملازمین سخت موسمی حالات اور محدود وسائل کے باوجود اپنی ڈیوٹی انجام دیتے ہیں۔ ان حالات میں اگر کسی اضافی مالی مراعات کا حق بنتا ہے تو وہ فیلڈ ملازمین کا بنتا ہے، نہ کہ صرف ایئر کنڈیشنڈ دفاتر میں بیٹھ کر کام کرنے والوں کا۔

سندھ پاکستان کی معیشت میں ریڑھ کی ہڈی کی حیثیت رکھتا ہے۔ ملک کی بڑی بندرگاہیں، صنعتی مراکز، تجارتی سرگرمیاں اور قومی ریونیو کا بڑا حصہ سندھ سے حاصل ہوتا ہے۔ ایسے صوبے کے ملازمین کو احساس محرومی میں مبتلا رکھنا نہ صرف ناانصافی ہے بلکہ ان کی پیشہ ورانہ کارکردگی اور حوصلے پر بھی منفی اثر ڈالتا ہے۔

لہٰذا سندھ حکومت سے پرزور مطالبہ ہے کہ:

▪ وفاقی ملازمین کو دی جانے والی مراعات اور الاؤنسز کے مساوی پیکیجز صوبائی ملازمین کو بھی فراہم کیے جائیں۔

▪ ڈسپیرٹی ریڈکشن الاؤنس اور دیگر خصوصی الاؤنسز میں صوبائی ملازمین کو بھی مساوی حصہ دیا جائے۔

▪ سندھ سیکریٹریٹ اور فیلڈ ملازمین کے درمیان موجود غیر ضروری تفاوت کو ختم کیا جائے۔

▪ دور دراز اور مشکل علاقوں میں خدمات انجام دینے والے فیلڈ ملازمین کے لیے خصوصی رسک، ہارڈ ایریا اور فیلڈ الاؤنس متعارف کرائے جائیں۔

▪ تنخواہوں اور مراعات کے نظام کو انصاف، مساوات اور شفافیت کی بنیاد پر ازسرنو ترتیب دیا جائے۔

ریاستی نظام اس وقت مضبوط ہوتا ہے جب اس کے تمام ملازمین کو بلاامتیاز عزت، انصاف اور مساوی مواقع فراہم کیے جائیں۔ سندھ کے لاکھوں سرکاری ملازمین بھی اسی ملک کے وفادار خادم ہیں اور انہیں بھی وہی حقوق، مراعات اور عزت ملنی چاہیے جو دیگر سرکاری ملازمین کو حاصل ہیں۔ امید ہے کہ حکومت اس دیرینہ مسئلے پر سنجیدگی سے غور کرتے ہوئے عملی اقدامات کرے گی تاکہ ملازمین میں پائی جانے والی احساسِ محرومی کا خاتمہ ہو اور وہ مزید لگن اور جذبے کے ساتھ عوامی خدمت انجام دے سکیں۔

The activities of government school students at TDF MagnifiScience Centre in Karachi reinforce the belief that education in Sindh is entering a new era. The children seen in these images are not merely visiting a recreational venue; they are participating in a learning environment where knowledge is taken beyond the pages of textbooks and connected with real life. In some scenes, students are attentively observing scientific demonstrations; in others, they are exploring nature through observation, while elsewhere they are learning about the human body and biological sciences through hands-on experiences. These images collectively demonstrate that the purpose of education is no longer limited to memorizing lessons but is increasingly focused on developing the ability to think, understand, question, and investigate.
For decades, developed nations have prioritized education based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics because such an approach equips young people with the skills required for the future. In Sindh, a similar vision is being promoted under the leadership of Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah. This modern educational approach can rightly be described as a historic and transformative initiative. Its primary objective is to ensure that students of government schools are able to keep pace with scientific and intellectual advancements across the world. In the past, many students viewed science merely as a textbook subject; today, they are being shown through practical experiences that science is an integral part of everyday life.
