Fun Fiesta held at UO City Campus
A vibrant Fun Fiesta was held at the City Campus of the University of Okara, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm, creativity, and student engagement. The event featured a wide range of recreational and cultural activities that drew active participation from students, faculty members, and staff.
The festivities included stalls offering a variety of food items and handicrafts, alongside sports activities such as tug of war, races, musical chairs, and other interactive games. In addition, singing competitions and character walks added a cultural dimension to the event, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity.
The event was jointly organized by the departments of Human Nutrition & Dietetics (HND), Food Science and Technology (FST), and Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT). Dr. Sajjad Sarwar and Dr. Saira Faisal served as the principal organizers and played a key role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the activities. The Fiesta was presided by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Sajjad Mubin, who, addressing to the students at this eve, applauded the organizers and argued that such activities could boost team building and creative skills in the students besides enabling them to manifest their talent. He also announced to initiate the projects of Girls Hostel, Cafeterias, Commercial Market and Day Care Centre at the campus.
Participants appreciated the initiative, noting that such events contribute significantly to promoting healthy extracurricular engagement, teamwork, and a positive campus environment at the University of Okara.

The Department of Food Science and Technology held the final viva voce of BS 8th semester students (Session 2021-25) on 26th August 2025 at City Block, where students presented their internship work as part of their degree program.
This important milestone reflected their hard work and learning during internships. The session was conducted under the supervision of the Head of Department, Dr. Muhammad Sajjad Sarwar and the Internal Internship Supervisor, Dr. Saira Sattar. The other members of evaluation comittee includes Mr. Liaquat Mehmood, Dr. Abdul Manan Saleem, Ms. Iqra Muneer, and Mr. Futrus Abid.
Congratulations to all students on successfully completing this stage of their academic journey.
