In June this year, PMC approved the following weightage of questions with respect to subjects included in the MDCAT curriculum:

Biology 34%
Chemistry 27%
Physics 27%
English 9%
Logical Reasoning 3%
Since MDCAT consists of 200 MCQs, the number of questions from each subject can be deduced easily.

Biology 68 MCQs
Chemistry 54 MCQs
Physics 54 MCQs
English 18 MCQs
Logical Reasoning 6 MCQs

Floodwater breached the protection d**e of Chak Shaheed drain that flooded the surroundings of the village, cutting its 2,500 residents off from the rest of the area.

After another breach in the protection bund in the area of Chak Safdarabad, Mirdost Lolai and Basti, floodwater entered about a dozen villages, including Raja, Basti Hamal, Basti Naubat and Basti Nazar. The protection d**e of Loundi Saidawn is in danger while areas of Lal Garh and Hajipur have also been inundated with flood water.

Due to the monsoon rains, the areas of Rojhan and Jampur tehsils of district Rajanpur are facing losses while tribal low-lying areas are completely flooded.

The rescue teams could not reach the affected areas and the people were forced to leave their homes on their own. For the last two days, women, children and the elderly have been suffering from lack of food. The affected people are forced to live in the open.

There is water flow is 833 cusecs in the hill torrent of Kaha, 10,550 cusecs at Chhachhar, 1,500 cusecs at Patook, 1,200 cusecs at Soori Shomali, 1,000 cusecs at Soori Janoobi and 1,500 cusecs at Kala Baga Khosra.

Rojhan Assistant Commissioner Zeeshan Sharif visited the affected areas and reviewed the situation.

ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader and Federal Minister Javed Latif on Thursday claimed that his party’s supremo Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan in September in line with the call of the people.

Addressing a press conference flanked by PML-N Punjab spokesperson Azma Bukhari, Latif said that the "doctors" have announced their decision and Nawaz will be among the people in the country next month.

"The doctors change their opinion with time. The people are his doctors; the nation has announced its decision that Nawaz Sharif should come back," Latif added.

In 2018, an accountability court sentenced Nawaz to seven years in prison in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills corruption reference, while he was also sentenced to a total of 11 years in prison and slapped an £8 million fine (Rs1.3 billion) in the Avenfield properties reference.

Subsequently, in 2019, the Lahore High Court (LHC) after suspending his sentence, allowed Nawaz to go abroad for medical treatment. He departed for London on November 19, 2019, and since then, he never returned to the country.

Latif's statement comes after PTI Chairman Imran Khan, during his address to his party's rally in Lahore, claimed that a conspiracy was being hatched to disqualify him in the Toshakhana and prohibited funding cases to pave the way for Nawaz's return from London.

“They have made a new plan to register new cases and disqualify Imran Khan in Toshakhana and prohibited funding cases,” he said.

“Under the conspiracy, Nawaz will be brought back to the country by the end of September […] and a character assassination campaign will be launched to malign me.”
