This milestone reflects QUEST's continued commitment to advancing quality postgraduate education and research excellence.

The 47th Academic Council meeting of Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, was chaired by Prof. Dr. Saleem Raza Samo, Vice Chancellor, on 5 August 2026, where several strategic academic initiatives were approved to strengthen quality education and future-ready learning.
The Council approved the launch of the MS Programme in Immersive Technologies and Digital Twin, implementation of the "Each One Teaches One" programme from Batch 2026, establishment of an Institutional English Proficiency Assessment and Certification System, adoption of revised undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in line with the HEC Graduate Education Policy 2023, introduction of Pre-University Mathematics for pre-medical students, and consideration of a new programme in Network Infrastructure and Cloud Computing.
These forward-looking decisions reflect QUEST's continued commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and producing graduates equipped to meet the evolving demands of industry and society.

QUEST Organizes Solidarity Rally on Youm-e-Istehsaal Kashmir

Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, observed Youm-e-Istehsaal Kashmir by holding a solidarity rally organized by the Student Consultative Bureau (SCB) in collaboration with the University administration.
The rally was led by Prof. Dr. Kishan Chand Mukwana, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and attended by faculty members, officers, staff, and students, reaffirming unwavering solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and advocating peace, justice, and the protection of fundamental human rights.

Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Karachi Tools Dies & Moulds Centre (KTMDC), to strengthen collaboration in education, research, innovation, and industry-academia linkages.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saleem Raza Samo and senior representatives from both institutions. The partnership will foster internships, industrial training, research collaboration, skill development, and knowledge exchange, creating valuable opportunities for students and future professionals.

Course Project Showcase 2026 – Department of Artificial Intelligence
The Department of Artificial Intelligence, QUEST Nawabshah, successfully organized its Course Project Showcase 2026, featuring 17 innovative student projects supervised by Dr. Wazir Ali.
Students presented AI-based solutions involving Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), dataset development, real-time inference, and interactive dashboards to address practical industry challenges.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Kishan Chand Makwana, Pro Vice Chancellor, QUEST, as Guest of Honor, along with Deans, the Chairman of the Department of Artificial Intelligence, and faculty members from various departments, who appreciated the students' innovative work.
The showcase highlighted QUEST’s commitment to practical learning, research, innovation, and strengthening academia–industry collaboration.

ORIC QUEST Successfully Convenes Its First Steering Committee Meeting
The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, successfully convened the first meeting of its Steering Committee on 28 July 2026 at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat.

The Committee reviewed ORIC’s institutional progress and preparations for HEC recognition, the Five-Year Strategic Plan 2026–2031, research funding and patents, organizational arrangements, and proposed frameworks for research ethics, intellectual property, technology transfer and commercialization.
The proposed establishment of the QUEST Business Incubation Centre under HEC’s FY 2026–27 programme was also discussed. Members offered valuable recommendations for strengthening startup support, industry engagement, commercialization pathways, institutional governance and sustainable external partnerships.
