13 Batch Quest Consequently, the 1st year classes were started at Nawabshah in February 1974. Presently, it consists of three academic sectors.

This page is created to share the updated and reliable information and news about the Engineering, Science and Technology in general and the University in particular. In order to provide adequate opportunity of engineering education to the people belonging to the interior of Sindh province, the Sindh University Engineering College Jamshoro was established in 1963 as a constituent college of the University of Sindh. According to the education policy of 1972, it was decided by the government to upgrade the college to the level of University of Engineering & Technology after shifting it to Nawabshah. In July 1976, this institution entered the second phase and was declared as additional campus of University of Sindh through amendment in the Sindh University Act, 1972 and was headed by a Pro Vice-Chancellor. The additional campus was eventually upgraded to the level of University on 1st March 1977 through an ordinance. Later on, the provincial Assembly of Sindh also passed an Act in this regard and named the institution ?Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Nawabshah? In 1980, the Government decided to shift the seat of University to Jamshoro and the campus at Nawabshah, was declared as constituent college of Mehran University; renamed ?Mehran University College of Engineering and Technology (MUCET), Nawabshah. On 7th August 1996, MUCET was upgraded to the level of University through an Ordinance and latter an Act of Sindh Assembly and named as “Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah? QUEST is accredited with Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Engineering Council. QUEST campus is situated just outside the city of Nawabshah near airport and is spread over an area of 457 acres on both sides of the main Sakrand road. Sector A houses the departments of Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Institute of Information Technology the Administration Block and a well-established Computer Centre. Sector B houses the departments of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy & Environment Engineering and Basic Sciences & Related Studies. While all the laboratories of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Workshop are located in Sector C and the Central Library is located between Sector B & C. Two new buildings for Electronics and Energy & Environment Engineering have constructed between sectors ?A&B. There is a well-planned residential colony consisting of a substantial number of bungalows for the teachers and officers and quarters for other employees.

It is notified for the information of all the concerned students that laptop distribution is scheduled on 31-03-2015 by HEC representative. All the concerned students are advised to come to collect the laptop on 31-03-2015 at Administration Block QUEST Nawabshah.

You should bring Mark sheets (upto June 2014) and CNIC along with you.

Correction Phase has been started & it requires the following fields to be filled:

Date of Admission,
Education System,
Year of Study,
% in Last Exam,
Semester,
Out of CGPA,
CGPA,
HSSC Percentage,
City of Permanent Residence

'Date of Admission': is that on which you took admission to 1st year
(If u don't exactly remember that date, u can ask from ur department's office, they have the records)

'Education System': Annual or Semester
U have to select "Annual" (as our university have Annual System)

'Year of Study': select 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year (in which u r currently studying)

'% in Last Exam': write percentage of ur last year (of which u submitted the marksheet for the scheme)

['Semester', 'Out of CGPA' & 'CGPA' will have no field to be filled when u have selected the 'Annual' system, these fields r only applicable under 'Semester' System only]

'HSSC Percentage': write ur Intermediate's percentage

'City of Permanent Residence': choose ur birth-city (which is mentioned in ur Domicile)

NOTE: Please don’t be hurry while filling profile. Any wrong information with respect to Semester, Year of Study, Date of Admission, Percentage (based on CGPA if applicable) in last exam and any other information as requested; OR failure to produce documentary proof of your stated information at the time of laptop distribution, SHALL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION STRAIGHTAWAY. This may also disqualify you from any future such schemes for next five years.
