🧪✨ Today's Chemistry Lecture – Metals, Non-Metals & Metalloids ✨🧪
Chemistry helps us understand the materials that make up our world! 🌍🔬
Today, our Pre First Year students explored the fascinating classification of elements into Metals, Non-Metals, and Metalloids and learned how their properties differ.
🌟 Key Concepts Covered:
🔩 Metals ✅ Lose electrons to form positive ions ✅ Good conductors of heat and electricity ✅ Examples: Iron, Copper, Gold, Silver
🌿 Non-Metals ✅ Gain electrons to form negative ions ✅ Poor conductors of heat and electricity ✅ Examples: Chlorine, Sulfur, Phosphorus
⚛️ Metalloids ✅ Show properties of both metals and non-metals ✅ Important in modern technology ✅ Examples: Silicon, Germanium, Boron
📍 Students also learned about the stair-step line in the periodic table that helps distinguish metals, non-metals, and metalloids.
💡 Fun Fact: Silicon, a metalloid, is the backbone of computers, mobile phones, and modern electronics! 💻📱
🎯 Active participation, discussions, and real-life examples made today's class engaging and enjoyable.

🧪✨ Class Activity – Human Periodic Table ✨🧪
Learning chemistry becomes more fun when students learn by doing! 🌟
Today in class, students participated in a “Human Periodic Table Activity” 📚🔬
Students stood near the board holding element names and learned how groups & periods are arranged in the periodic table.
✅ Fun learning environment
✅ Better understanding of concepts
✅ Teamwork & active participation
✅ Easy way to remember groups and periods
💡 Key Learning:
Groups are vertical columns & periods are horizontal rows in the periodic table.
So proud of my students for their enthusiasm and participation today 💙✨

✨ Today’s Chemistry Lecture – Pre First Year ✨
📚 Topic: Historical Background of the Periodic Table
Today we explored how the modern periodic table was developed through the efforts of brilliant scientists 🔬💡
🌟 Dmitri Mendeleev (1869)
✅ Arranged 63 elements according to atomic mass
✅ Grouped elements with similar properties
✅ Left empty spaces for undiscovered elements
✅ Known as the Father of the Periodic Table
🌟 Henry Moseley (1913)
✅ Determined exact atomic numbers using X-rays
✅ Arranged elements by atomic number instead of atomic mass
✅ Removed flaws in Mendeleev’s table
✅ Gave the Modern Periodic Law
💡 Key Learning:
“Properties of elements are periodic functions of their atomic numbers.”
Proud of my students for their curiosity and participation today 📖✨

🧪✨ Today’s Chemistry Lecture – Pre First Year ✨🧪
Today we explored the “Historical Background of the Periodic Table” 📚🔬
🔹 Antoine Lavoisier – First classified elements into metals & non-metals
🔹 Dobereiner Triads – Elements grouped in threes with similar properties
🔹 John Newlands – Introduced the Law of Octaves
🔹 Lothar Meyer – Explained periodicity through graphs
🔹 Dmitri Mendeleev – Father of the Periodic Table
💡 Key Learning:
The periodic table was not made in one day — it is the result of years of scientific discoveries and hard work.

(Meaning of Education)
