His Eminence Dr.M***i Akeel-Ur-Rehman Pirzada, Grand M***i of Islamabad & Chairman Ulama Aman(Peace)Committee Pakistan Calls for Protection of Human Rights and Interfaith Harmony at III St. Petersburg International Religious Forum St. Petersburg, - September 22-23, 2025 The Grand M***i of Islamabad and Chairman of the Ulama Aman (Peace) Committee, Dr.M***i Akeel-Ur-Rehman Pirzada, addressed the III St. Petersburg International Religious Forum, emphasizing the importance of protecting human rights and promoting interfaith harmony. The Grand M***i expressed gratitude to His Eminence M***i Sheikh Ravil Pancheev, chairman of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of St. Petersburg and North-West of Russia, for his tireless efforts in promoting peace, human rights, and interfaith harmony. The Grand M***i said, "In this advanced era, there is a great need for the protection of human rights and interfaith harmony. Similarly, Islam has taught respect for humanity and the sacred values of all religions." The Grand M***i emphasized that the forum provides a valuable opportunity for senior figures from various religions to come together and raise their voices for the protection of human rights and interfaith harmony, reflecting the teachings of all religions. The Grand M***i further highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation between the Ulama Aman(Peace) Committee of Pakistan and the Spiritual administration of Muslims of St. Petersburg for interfaith harmony and respect for human rights, aiming to eliminate growing problems and intolerance in the world. We extend our congratulations on the 98th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China. On behalf of His Eminence Dr. M***i Akeel-Ur-Rehman Pirzada, Grand M***i of Islamabad & Chairman Ulama Aman(Peace) Committee Pakistan, we extend our congratulations to His Highness Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China and His Excellency Mr. Jiang Zaidong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, and His Excellency Major General Wang Zhong, Defence Attaché, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, the officials of the Chinese Embassy and the people of China on the 98th anniversary of the founding of the PLA.
Speaking on the occasion, the Grand M***i said that the Pakistan-China strategic relationship is an example of mutual trust, unwavering support and shared determination, which urgently needs to be strengthened through sustainable measures and effective means through religious diplomacy. In this regard, the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army are also engaged in developing excellent relations with the Government of China and the PLA, which are of utmost importance for the stability of the region.
