Maarka-e-Haq Week ,
" Celebrating the Spirit of Bunyan-un-Marsoos"

Following the directions of the Government of Azad State of Jammu & Kashmir, Cadet College Muzaffarabad observed Maarka-e-Haq Week with a series of meaningful activities under the theme of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. The week-long celebrations were organized to commemorate the remarkable success of the operation, which has emerged as a symbol of national strength, resilience, strategic foresight, and collective resolve. The occasion also reflected the nation’s gratitude to the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan for safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, dignity, and ideological frontiers.
The celebrations commenced with a cleanliness drive on the college campus. Cadets participated enthusiastically in the activity, reflecting the values of discipline, civic responsibility, and collective service. The drive symbolized that national strength is not only demonstrated on the battlefield but is also reflected in responsible citizenship, order, and dedication to the common good.
As part of the outreach programme, the College Outreach Committee invited distinguished local notables and respected members of the community to the college. The local community paid glowing tribute to the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan for their courage, sacrifice, and steadfast commitment to national defence. The Principal paid rich tribute to the guardians and custodians of the nation’s ideological, land, air, and sea frontiers, acknowledging their unwavering resolve in preserving the country’s sovereignty, security, and national dignity. The outreach initiative further strengthened the bond between the institution and the community while reinforcing a shared spirit of patriotism and national solidarity.
In continuation of the week’s celebrations, a spirited patriotic march was organized with enthusiastic participation from the Muzaffarian. Students and staff from local schools also joined the march, adding energy and vibrancy to the occasion. Participants raised spirited slogans in favour of Pakistan and its valiant Armed Forces, expressing profound admiration for their courage, sacrifice, and steadfast defence of the nation. The rally passed through the campus amid patriotic fervour. It served as a powerful expression of collective gratitude and inspired the young Muzaffarians to uphold the values of patriotism, unity, and dedicated service to the motherland.
The week-long celebrations culminated in a thought-provoking seminar on the theme
“Bunyan-un-Marsoos:
A New Chapter of National Strength, Resilience & Success.”

The event was held at the Raja Haider Khan Auditorium.
The Principal of the college, Brigadier Asrat Mahmood, SI, M ( Retired) along with the honourable guests, was escorted to the auditorium where the programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Naat.
In his opening remarks, the Principal warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and participants. He paid rich tribute to the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan for their remarkable achievements during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. He observed that the operation has emerged as a defining symbol of national resolve, strategic preparedness, and collective resilience, reflecting the nation’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and dignity. He further highlighted that the operation also marked significant strategic and diplomatic gains for Pakistan, strengthening the country’s standing at regional and international forums. He noted that the nation demonstrated maturity, unity, and confidence, reinforcing Pakistan’s image as a responsible and resilient state.
The keynote session featured distinguished speakers who shared valuable perspectives on the theme.
Mr. Zohaib Altaf, Associate Director Centre For International Strategic Studies, described Bunyan-un-Marsoos as a new chapter of national confidence, institutional strength, and strategic foresight. He remarked that national resilience is built not only through military preparedness but also through intellectual clarity, unity of purpose, and informed leadership. Renowned columnist, social activist & political analyst,
Ms. Naila Altaf underlined that national strength becomes meaningful when it is anchored in justice, social responsibility, and collective harmony. She noted that resilience emerges when citizens remain united, aware of their responsibilities, and committed to the welfare and dignity of the nation.
Chairman Kashmir Institute of International Relations, Mr. Altaf Hussain Wani stated that resilience and success are achieved when a nation remains steadfast in its principles, united in its aspirations, and confident in its institutions. He emphasized that unity and national solidarity remain the strongest foundations of enduring progress and collective success.
Secretary Higher Education Department Muhammad Younas Mir spoke on the significance of national cohesion, unity, and public awareness. He emphasized that educational institutions play a vital role in preparing enlightened youth who can contribute meaningfully to national development and stability. He congratulated the college administration for organizing a timely and meaningful event and appreciated the cadets for their attentive participation. In his closing remarks, he expressed confidence that the youth of today would emerge as responsible citizens and future leaders of the nation.
The thoughtful deliberations of the speakers were received with keen interest and appreciation by the cadets and faculty members. The seminar provided a meaningful platform for intellectual engagement, reflection, and a deeper understanding of contemporary national realities.
Before the conclusion of the event, the Principal presented college commemorative shields to all the honourable guests as a token of gratitude and appreciation for their valuable participation and insightful contributions.

Farewell Evening in Honour of a Dedicated Mentor:

The College Administration hosted a graceful farewell dinner in honour of Mr. Masood Ahmed, (Lecturer Biology) acknowledging his valuable services and unwavering commitment to academic excellence at Cadet College Muzaffarabad.
On behalf of the faculty, Vice Principal Mr. Malik Adeel Anwar paid rich tribute to his professional dedication, sincerity, and commendable contribution to the intellectual growth and character building of cadets.

Mr. Masood also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the College Administration for its constant support, encouragement, and cooperation throughout his memorable stay at CCM. He fondly recalled his association with the institution and appreciated the professional environment and camaraderie shared with colleagues and cadets.

Worthy Principal Brigadier Asrat Mahmood SI, M (Retired) also applauded his five years of devoted teaching at the college and appreciated the lasting impact of his services on the institution.

Honouring Labour, Inspiring Responsibility & Back brief by Cadets who visited Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly:

Ghazi House hosted the morning assembly in connection with International Labour Day, presenting a thoughtful and engaging programme that highlighted the dignity of labour, social responsibility, and the value of dedicated service.

The assembly commenced with an informative presentation by cadets on the significance of Labour Day, tracing its historical roots and underlining the contributions of workers whose commitment strengthens communities and nations. Mr. Rana Sajjad (Lecturer Urdu) further briefed the audience on the importance of the day and its observance from Kashmir, emphasizing respect for honest work, discipline, and collective progress.

Muzaffarian also shared reflections from their recent visit to the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, highlighting their learning about parliamentary traditions, democratic values, and the significance of informed civic participation. Mr. Abdul Haseeb Khan (Lecturer Computer Science) presented a concise summary of the visit and encouraged young learners to observe institutions with curiosity, awareness, and responsibility.

Addressing the gathering, the Principal appreciated the efforts of Ghazi House and the participating cadets. 8th College Raising Day, Badge Award Ceremony & PTM (8th Entry):

CCM proudly celebrated its 8th College Raising Day along with the prestigious Rank Badge Award Ceremony for newly commissioned officers and the Prize Distribution Ceremony followed by Parents-Teachers Meeting of Class 8th (8th Entry), marking another proud milestone in the institution’s journey of excellence, character building, and leadership development. The ceremony was graced by the Principal, Brigadier Asrat Mahmood, SI, M (Retired).

The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a soulful Naat that created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. A particularly emotional moment of the ceremony came when an ex-cadet shared heartfelt reflections and cherished memories of his five-year journey at CCM, inspiring the young Muzaffarians with his words of gratitude, perseverance, and commitment.

A total of six distinguished alumni, recently commissioned from Pakistan Military Academy, attended as guests of honour. The Chief Guest conferred the badges of ranks. The ceremony reflected the continuation of the college’s proud legacy of producing disciplined, capable, and responsible leaders.

On the occasion of the 8th College Raising Day, a cake-cutting ceremony was also held, symbolising growth, unity, and the remarkable journey of the institution over the years. The moment added warmth and festivity to the celebrations and was shared by faculty members, parents, alumni, and cadets.
The college also acknowledged individual excellence in curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular domains. In curricular performance, Cadet Muhammad Taaseen Haider secured 90.4% and was awarded a Shield along with a certificate. In co-curricular activities, Cadet M. Ali Wajid participated in four competitions and secured first position in two, earning a Shield and certificate. In extra-curricular activities, Cadet Momin Salar participated in eight competitions and secured first position in three, receiving a Shield (Sports & PT/Drill ) and certificate.

For overall outstanding performance, Cadet M. Bazil Khan was recognised for securing third position in curricular activities, second position in co-curricular activities, and second position in extra-curricular activities. In recognition of his collective excellence, he was awarded a Shield, medal, and certificate.

A Parents-Teachers Meeting for Class 8th (8th Entry) was also arranged on the occasion. During the session, academic progress, performance reports, and overall development of the cadets were shared with parents. Parents expressed satisfaction and confidence in the performance, discipline, and positive growth of their sons, and appreciated the institution’s dedicated efforts in academic grooming and character building. The interaction provided a valuable opportunity for constructive feedback and strengthened the bond between the college and parents.

Before the Principal’s address, heartfelt appreciation was extended to the unsung heroes of the college, the gardeners, sanitation staff, security personnel, kitchen staff, naan-bys, maintenance workers, and other support staff, whose quiet dedication, tireless service, and day-and-night commitment ensure a safe, disciplined, clean, and caring environment for the Muzaffarians. Muzaffarians had the privilege to witness a live session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, a truly enlightening experience that brought classroom concepts to life. Observing the proceedings firsthand, they gained valuable insight into parliamentary traditions, legislative procedures, and the art of constructive debate.

The session highlighted the importance of dialogue, tolerance, and informed decision-making in a democratic setup. From understanding how laws are discussed and passed to witnessing the discipline and decorum of elected representatives, the visit served as a powerful lesson in civic responsibility and leadership.

Such exposure not only strengthens political awareness but also inspires young minds to become thoughtful, responsible citizens ready to contribute positively to the nation’s future.

Orientation Week – 2; 9th Entry:

Day 1:
Mr. Hamza Gillani (Lecturer English) delivered an engaging presentation on Co-Curricular Activities and Sports, highlighting their vital role in the overall personality development of cadets. He emphasized that participation in debates, dramatics, literary activities, and sports not only enhances confidence and communication skills but also fosters teamwork, leadership, and a healthy competitive spirit. Cadets were encouraged to actively take part in various activities to maintain a balanced and dynamic cadet life.

Day 2:
Mr. Usama Qureshi (Lecturer Islamic Studies) delivered an enlightening session on Basic Islamic Values, focusing on truth, honesty, and mutual respect as the foundation of a strong character. He stressed the practical implementation of these values in daily life, guiding cadets to become responsible and morally upright individuals.

Mr. Ghazanfar Latif (Library Officer) conducted an informative session titled “Library – A Gateway to Success”, aimed at orienting cadets on the effective use of the college library. The session included an introduction to the college library, its rules, book circulation process, and the key role it plays in academic excellence. Special reference was made to World Book Day, highlighting the importance of reading culture. Cadets were guided on do’s and don’ts, annual reading analysis, and the effective utilization of resources such as the world globe and reference materials.

The session concluded with a physical visit to the library, where cadets were practically shown how to access and use the available resources, reinforcing the importance of reading as a lifelong habit and a pathway to success.

Day 3:
Mr. Danish Haider Bukhari (Lecturer Urdu) delivered an insightful presentation on the Housing System, introducing young Muzaffarians to the true spirit of boarding life. He explained how the house system acts as the backbone of discipline, organization, and identity within the institution.

The concept of boarding was presented as a transformative experience where cadets learn self-reliance, time management, and adaptability. Living together in a structured and supervised environment nurtures brotherhood, unity, and mutual respect, helping cadets grow into responsible and confident individuals.

He further highlighted that the house system promotes healthy competition through inter-house activities, encouraging teamwork, leadership, and a sense of belonging, essential qualities for both academic success and character building.

Day 4:
The Vice Principal, Mr. Malik Adeel Anwar, delivered an impressive and thought-provoking presentation on Leadership. He highlighted that true leadership is built on integrity, vision, and the ability to inspire and guide others by personal example. Cadets were encouraged to develop confidence, decision-making skills, and a sense of responsibility, understanding that leadership begins with self-discipline and accountability.

Through practical insights and real-life examples, he emphasized that a good leader not only commands but also serves, listens, and uplifts others. The session reinforced the idea that leadership qualities are nurtured over time through consistent effort, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.

Vice Principal Mr. Malik Adeel Anwar delivered an insightful presentation on how to read a newspaper effectively. He briefly explained the various sections of a newspaper and guided the cadets on how to approach each section with purpose. He also discussed different types of reading; skimming, scanning, and intensive reading, highlighting their relevance in extracting useful information.

Emphasizing the importance of reading, he encouraged cadets to develop this habit for enhancing knowledge, vocabulary, and awareness of current affairs. It was indeed an informative and engaging session for the audience.

The Principal appreciated the Vice Principal for his valuable presentation and for enlightening the Muzaffarians with such practical learning skills.

Our inner feelings shape our attitude and behaviour, and this essence was vividly reflected during the Representation of Home -Training Evening Activity. The young Muzaffarians demonstrated, through their performances, the values, manners, and discipline they have learned at home, transforming simple routines into powerful expressions of character.

The activity was graced by Vice Principal Mr. Malik Adeel Anwar and House Master (Saif House) Mr. Babar Nazir, whose presence added encouragement and significance to the occasion. The young Muzaffarians confidently showcased respect, cooperation, responsibility, and a strong sense of belonging, qualities that define both a nurturing home and a disciplined institution.

This meaningful practical activity based learning reinforced the idea that true training begins within and is reflected in everyday actions. It was an inspiring display of how positive upbringing shapes responsible, confident, and well-rounded individuals.

Day 5:
A visit to the Neelum Jhelum Hydro Power Project (NJHP) was organized under the supervision of the College Adjutant, Capt. Asad Rehman. This educational excursion provided cadets with a valuable opportunity to observe one of the country’s major hydropower projects and understand the practical application of renewable energy.

During the visit, cadets were introduced to the basic working principles of hydropower generation, including the use of flowing water to produce electricity in an efficient and environmentally sustainable manner. The importance of such projects in meeting national energy demands and contributing to economic development was also highlighted.

The visit proved to be both informative and inspiring, broadening the cadets’ knowledge beyond the classroom. It also served as a refreshing excursion, strengthening camaraderie and giving young Muzaffarians exposure to real-world engineering and national infrastructure—instilling in them a sense of pride and awareness about the country’s progress.

“Shaping Vision, Inspiring Leadership — 5- Days Leadership Training Module”

The 5- Days Leadership Training Module at CCM stood as a hallmark of excellence, designed to nurture confidence, character, and competence among the Muzaffarians, preparing them to excel in diverse professional arenas.

Gp Captain R Muhammad Shoukat, PAF conducted an enlightening session, apprising the cadets about ISSB schedule and the essential qualities required for a successful candidature. He provided a comprehensive understanding of officer-like qualities, effective communication, and leadership traits. The cadets were thoroughly guided on the ex*****on of group tasks and were given a clear insight into General Duty Pilot (GDP) - its scope, selection criteria, and the competencies required to pursue a career in Pakistan Air Force /aviation. His interaction with the faculty further enriched the academic environment, fostering a shared vision of grooming cadets through modern and purposeful training techniques.

Air Commodore (Retd) Adil Khan added a dynamic and practical dimension to the module by engaging cadets in a variety of skill-based activities. He conducted mechanical aptitude tests, picture story writing, and situational task practices aligned with ISSB standards. Leading from the front, he took the Muzaffarians to the College Obstacle Training Ground, where they performed a series of group tasks, enhancing their teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and leadership under pressure. His hands-on approach and detailed discussions ensured that each cadet not only understood the concepts but also applied on ground with confidence and clarity.

This intensive leadership training module was not merely aimed at preparing cadets for the armed forces; rather, it was thoughtfully designed to develop them as future leaders, equipped with the skills, mindset, and resilience on the concept of “Whole Man” in line with College Mission and Vision to pursue and excel in the profession of their choice. The experience instilled in the Muzaffarians a strong sense of purpose, self-belief, and the determination to lead with integrity and distinction in every walk of life.

Orientation Week – New 9th Entry:

Day 4:
An excursion trip to Forest Park Chatter Klass, led by the College Adjutant, Capt Asad Rehman offered cadets a refreshing change from routine. The visit aimed at promoting teamwork, physical fitness, and social bonding among the young Muzaffarians. Through group activities and informal interaction, cadets developed camaraderie, confidence, and an appreciation for discipline even in a relaxed outdoor setting.

Day 5:
A detailed and impactful presentation on Discipline was delivered by the Adjutant, Capt Asad Rehman. The session emphasized discipline as the foundation of success, highlighting punctuality, obedience, self-control, and respect for authority. Cadets were guided on how disciplined behavior shapes character, enhances performance, and prepares them for future leadership roles.

Day 6:
A comprehensive presentation on Mess Manners was delivered by Senior House Master, Mr. Abdul Haseeb Khan (Lecturer Computer Science). The session focused on proper dining etiquette, table manners, hygiene, and respectful conduct in the mess. Young Muzaffarians were trained to exhibit grace, patience, and consideration for others, reinforcing that refined manners are an essential part of a cadet’s personality and institutional culture.
