Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at Kohsar University Murree organized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with Zakat Foundation of America (ZFA) to foster collaboration in academic, research, and community development initiatives.
The MoU was formally signed by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Kohsar University Murree, Dr. Rafia Mumtaz and Dr. Mohsin Zahid, representing Zakat Foundation of America.
This partnership aims to create meaningful opportunities for students, promote professional development, and support projects that bridge education with social impact.

Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at Kohsar University Murree, in collaboration with Zakat Foundation America organized a highly engaging training session titled โTransformation from Student to Professional Life.โ
The session was conducted by the esteemed Dr. Mohsin Zahid, who shared his valuable insights on how students can effectively navigate the transition from academic life to professional careers. Participants gained practical knowledge, motivation, and strategies to excel in their future endeavors.
Dr. Mohsin Zahid is a distinguished professional with a rich blend of experience in consulting, entrepreneurship, and academia. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to projects for more than 30 national and international organizations. As an HEC-certified Master Trainer, Dr. Mohsin has conducted over 600 on-site training sessions across nine countries, such as Pakistan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey. Through these programs, he has successfully trained and empowered more than 6,000 professionals representing over 100 organizations and 40 universities.
The students from Sociology and Medical Lab Technology actively participated in the event. The event was also graced by Dr. Ibrahim, HoD Sociology.

Around Twenty-two students from the Department of Biotechnology, Kohsar University Murree, participated in the 13th International Conference (C-BICS 2025) organized by CUST Islamabad on November 1, 2025. Dr. Shahid Hussain, Head of the Department of Biotechnology, served as a session chair and delivered an oral presentation at the conference. Such exposure provided the students with an excellent platform to learn about ongoing research in Pakistan and to interact with esteemed professors and scientists from across the country, helping them build valuable connections for their future careers and advanced studies.
