Fears, worries, concerns, anxieties....all of these emotions have a job. To stop us being complacent and bringing about preventable harm, insha'Allah....

But....if we're not careful they can take hold of us and make us behave like crazy people!

If we allow them to overpower us, that's when we start REACTING instead of RESPONDING....and this is rarely a good thing.

Sheikh as-Sadi says in his book 8 Steps To Happiness translated by Dar as-Sunnah to imagine your fears with the worst outcome that could potentially happen and then PREPARE for them...

"Among the most beneficial means that eliminate anxiety (qaliq) and sorrow (hamum) of a person overcome by trials and calamities, is for him to struggle to lighten its difficulties by imagining the worst possible thing that could happen.
This means he is able to weigh and predict worst possible sce­narios and outcomes and then being prepared to face them. He builds strategies able to better position himself to minimise risks as much as possible....."

➡️AND.....more importantly, what can YOU do to tie the camel to prevent that fear happening, insha'Allah?

If you're a Muslim parent, your worst fear might be your children leaving the Deen. May Allah protect us from misguidance.

Guidance is in Allah's hands not ours...but, that doesn't mean we don't have a role to play.

What can you do that will increase the likelihood of guidance and your child accepting Islam as they get older, insha'Allah? And perhaps equally, consider, what shouldn't you do?


So What's your biggest fear and how will you prepare?

Take care of your prayers because one of them will be the last!

Sometimes Allah destroys your plans before your plan destroy you!
