The Department of Agricultural Engineering, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, successfully organized a seminar titled:

🌾 Visit of CSS 53rd Common Trainee Officers to the Department of Agricultural Engineering, BZU 🌾

The Department of Agricultural Engineering, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, had the pleasure of hosting the CSS 53rd Common Trainee Officers on 28th October 2025.

During their visit, the officers toured the departmental laboratories and engaged in insightful interactions with faculty members and students. They also visited the Women Development Center for Mechanized Agriculture and the Wetland Facility for Wastewater Treatment at BZU.

The trainee officers highly appreciated the department’s efforts in promoting sustainable agricultural practices, innovation, and hands-on learning for future engineers. 🌱✨

🚀 Exploring Space Science & GIS at BZU! 🌍

A one-day seminar on “Current Trends and Opportunities in Space Science & Remote Sensing” was successfully held today at the Department of Electrical Engineering, BZU Multan, jointly organized by the Department of Agricultural Engineering and SUPARCO.

🎓 The event featured insightful talks by experts from SUPARCO — Mr. Muhammad Ayyaz Ameen, Mr. Syed Faisal Hussain Kazmi, and Mr. Afnan Tahir — who shared real-world applications and future directions in space research, satellite data, and GIS technologies.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shoaib welcomed participants and highlighted the vision behind the new BS Remote Sensing & GIS Program at BZU.
The session concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Prof. Dr. Nazim Hussain, Dean FAS&T and Prof Dr Zahid Mahmood Khan

We were honored to welcome Mr. M. Iftikhar Bhatti, Director General SUPARCO (Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission), along with his team, to the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan.

During the interaction, the DG SUPARCO appreciated the Department’s vision and particularly commended the launch of the new undergraduate program in Remote Sensing & GIS. He emphasized that such initiatives will equip our youth with cutting-edge skills in space technology, data science, and geospatial applications—areas crucial for the future of agriculture, climate resilience, and national development.

The visit opened up avenues for collaboration between BZU and SUPARCO in areas such as precision agriculture, water resources management, and climate change adaptation.
