DVAGO Recruitment Drive was held at– Faculty of Pharmacy - Bahauddin Zakariya University dated February 14, 2025 (Friday)

This was a great opportunity for aspiring Pharmacy Professionals to explore career opportunities, gain industry insights, and become part of one of the leading pharmacy and wellness organizations in Pakistan. DVAGO people conducted on-the-spot screenings, assessments, and interviews.

Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed on 5th February at– Faculty of Pharmacy - Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. The observance of the Day was aimed at highlighting the illegal occupation of Kashmir by Indian forces, the plight of Kashmiris in the face of ongoing Indian state terrorism and the imperative need of resolution of the dispute in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people.

This event was organized by Faculty DSAs and Pharm D 1st Professional. Purpose of the event was to raise voice against brutal lockdown of Jammu & Kashmir since August 5, 2019 and resolution of Kashmir issue and record our protest in UN.

The Coordinator Pharm D Program Prof Dr Samina Afzal, DSA (Male) Prof Dr Sohail Arshad, DSA (Female) Dr Ambreen Aleem and other Faculty members were the chief guest and guests of this Program. Students presented declamation on the Kashmir issue, focusing on different aspects such as human rights, international law, and the geopolitical implications, to encourage critical thinking and informed discussions among students. Special prayers were offered in the end for the martyrs of the freedom struggle of the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir & for peace and justice in Kashmir, for the alleviation of the suffering of the Kashmiri people, and for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

Pharma Olympiad (Annual Sports) at Faculty of Pharmacy dated 27, Jan to 29 Jan 2025

Faculty of Pharmacy, in collaboration with National Productivity Organization (NPO), Ministry of Industries & Production, Organized two days seminar for Pharm D, M Phil/ PhD students dated 18th and 19th December, 2024.
The session was presented by Engr Syed Muhammad Sadaruddin Gilani, In-Charge NPO Regional office Multan. He highlighted the objective to improve productivity awareness of students entrepreneurs. During his address, he stressed on productivity enhancement and competitiveness in the local and global market to achieve sustainable development in Pakistan.
Engr. Amir Riaz (Deputy Director CDC), Dr Jahanzeb Mudassir and Dr Samina Afzal (Coordinator Pharm D Program) appreciated NPO Pakistan to organize the session for students of Faculty of Pharmacy as entrepreneurs and hoped that this will help strengthen the role of Pharmacy students in business and industry.

Prof Dr Muhammad Zubair Iqbal, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, BZU, visited Faculty of Pharmacy on 2nd January 2025. Prof Dr Samina Afzal, Prof Dr Sohail Arshad, Prof Dr Fawad Rasool and other faculty members warmly welcomed VC, BZU.

Dr Samina Afzal, Coordinator Pharm D program briefed VC about the history, progress and future plans of Faculty of Pharmacy. She expressed profound gratitude to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor for visiting the Faculty and his valuable time he spared.

The Vice-Chancellor, highlighted the worth of Faculty members and advised the teaching faculty to focus on quality research to uplift the name of BZU to international standard.

The Faculty of Pharmacy, BZU, came up with an “Anaemia Awareness Seminar For Females” on 18th December, 2024, in collaboration with Zakariyan Health Care Society,

The session was lead by Dr Saima Rafique, Associate Professor, Head of the Gynaecology ward Nishtar medical University, Multan.

Session gave basic ideas about to care and detect the early symptoms of anaemia and how to care from such diseases.

Prof Dr Samina Afzal, Coordinator Pharm D program, Dr Ambreen Aleem DSA females, and Prof Dr Fawad Rasool, and other Faculty members graced the occasion. Dr Samina Afzal also presented the shield to speaker, Dr Saima Rafique.

A distinguished book launch ceremony by *Dr. Muhammad Hanif,* Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy, Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) in Multan title: *Simulation-Based Pharmacokinetics: Studies on Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics* " was a groundbreaking event for PharmD students, educators, and professionals in the field of pharmaceutics. This book is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical pharmacokinetics concepts and practical applications, with a special focus on simulation-based studies. This groundbreaking book is expected to significantly contribute to the pharmaceutical sciences field, offering new insights and knowledge for students, professionals, and researchers alike.
