إِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

پشتون اسٹوڈنٹس کونسل، بی زیڈ یو ملتان

گزشتہ روز یونیورسٹی کے ابوبکر ہال (کمرہ نمبر 6) میں شعبۂ نفسیات کے تیسرے سمسٹر کے طالب علم ریاض ترین کی افسوسناک وفات نے پوری جامعہ کو گہرے صدمے اور رنج میں مبتلا کر دیا۔ ابتدائی معلومات کے مطابق مرحوم نے پنکھے سے رسی کے ذریعے خودکشی کی ۔ ساتھی طلبہ نے صورتحال کا احساس ہونے پر کمرے کا دروازہ توڑ کر اندر داخل ہوئے اور فوری طور پر انہیں نکال کر نشتر ہسپتال منتقل کیا، جہاں ڈاکٹرز نے ان کے انتقال کی تصدیق کر دی۔

مرحوم کا تعلق بلوچستان کے ضلع دُکی سے تھا۔ گزشتہ شب ان کی میت آبائی علاقے روانہ کر دی گئی۔ آج دوپہر 1 بجے یونیورسٹی میں مین کیفیٹریا کے سامنے ان کا غائبانہ جنازہ ادا کی گئی، جس میں طلبہ نے شرکت کر کے مرحوم کے ایصالِ ثواب کے لیے دعائیں کیں۔

پشتون اسٹوڈنٹس کونسل، بی زیڈ یو ملتان اس المناک سانحے پر دلی دکھ اور افسوس کا اظہار کرتی ہے۔ ہم مرحوم کے خاندان، عزیز و اقارب اور ساتھی طلبہ کے ساتھ ہمدردی کا اظہار کرتے ہیں۔

اللہ تعالیٰ ریاض ترین کی مغفرت فرمائے، ان کے درجات بلند کرے اور لواحقین کو صبرِ جمیل عطا فرمائے۔

آج پنجاب یونیورسٹی میں پشتون طلبہ کے ساتھ انتہائی افسوسناک اور ناانصافی پر مبنی واقعہ پیش آیا۔ ڈائریکٹر اسٹوڈنٹ افیئرز (DSA) کی جانب سے پشتون طلبہ کو ایک مختصر ثقافتی پروگرام کے انعقاد کی باضابطہ اجازت دی گئی تھی۔ تاہم، مقررہ وقت پر جب پروگرام شروع ہونا تھا، یونیورسٹی انتظامیہ نے اچانک مرکزی دروازے بند کر دیے اور مقررین کو اندر داخل ہونے سے روک دیا۔

اس کے بعد، دروازے پر جمع طلبہ کو زبردستی منتشر کرنے کی کوشش کی گئی۔ گارڈز نے طلبہ پر تشدد کیا، انہیں مارا پیٹا اور بے رحمی سے گھسیٹا گیا۔ صورتحال اس وقت مزید بگڑ گئی جب گارڈز نے پتھراؤ کیا جس کے نتیجے میں متعدد طلبہ زخمی ہوئے جبکہ کچھ گارڈز بھی اس عمل میں متاثر ہوئے۔

مزید افسوس کی بات یہ ہے کہ پولیس کو طلب کیا گیا جنہوں نے پرامن طلبہ پر مزید تشدد کیا اور کم از کم 15 طلبہ کو گرفتار کر کے گاڑیوں میں زبردستی بٹھایا۔ اس دوران پشتون طلبہ کو ان کی نسلی شناخت پر گالیاں اور تضحیک کا نشانہ بنایا گیا جو نہ صرف انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزی ہے بلکہ ایک کھلا تعصب بھی ہے۔
