A Memorable Evening at Lal Haveli
A graceful dinner was hosted by Allama Farooq Khan Saeedi, an eminent scholar and a great speaker, at the iconic Lal Haveli, South Punjab. This special gathering was organized to warmly welcome Hafiz Muhammad Mutahir, a young PhD scholar from Oxford University, UK.

The evening was further graced by the presence of anchor Mr. Hamid Ali Saeedi, Dr. Saddam Hussain Qureshi (Department of Statistics, Emerson University),
and Mr. Ameen, CEO of Lal Haveli.

It was a night filled with meaningful conversations, intellectual exchange, and heartfelt hospitality.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Emerson University, Multan, hosted a seminar titled “Different Formulations of Optimization Problems with Applications in Neural Networks.” The event featured the outstanding contributions of Dr. Saddam Hussain Qurashi and Hafiz Mutahir Hussain Qurashi, whose roles made the seminar truly memorable.

Dr. Saddam Hussain Qurashi served as the stage secretary, conducting the proceedings with great professionalism and confidence. His composed presence and effective coordination reflected his commitment to academic excellence.

The seminar began with a soulful Naat recitation by Hafiz Mutahir Hussain Qurashi, a UK-based scholar. His spiritually uplifting recitation deeply touched the audience and set a respectful tone for the event.

Both individuals brought great value to the seminar—one through scholarly leadership, the other through spiritual enrichment—leaving a lasting impact on all attendees

یمرسن یونیورسٹی ملتان کے شعبہ ریاضی و شماریات کے زیر اہتمام ’’آپٹیمائزیشن مسائل کی مختلف تشکیلات اور نیورل نیٹ ورکس میں ان کی تطبیقات‘‘ کے عنوان سے ایک فکر انگیز سیمینار کا انعقاد الغزالی ہال میں منعقد ہوا۔ سیمینار میں ممتاز ماہرینِ تعلیم، یونیورسٹی کے افسران، فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلباء و طالبات نے بھرپور شرکت کی۔
تقریب کا آغاز تلاوتِ کلامِ پاک سے ہوا جس کے بعد برطانیہ سے آئے معروف نعت خواں حافظ مطاہر حسین قریشی نے نعت رسول مقبول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پیش کی۔ شعبہ ریاضی و شماریات کے سربراہ ڈاکٹر عبدالمعید نے مہمانوں کو خوش آمدید کہا اور سیمینار کے موضوع پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے شعبے کی علمی کاوشوں اور تحقیقی رجحان کو اجاگر کیا۔ڈاکٹر عبدالمعید نے سائنس، ٹیکنالوجی اور سوشل سائنس میں ریاضی کی اہمیت پر بھی روشنی ڈالی۔
سیمینار کے منتظم اور رابطہ کار کی حیثیت سے ڈاکٹر محمد آصف نے کلیدی کردار ادا کیا۔ جبکہ اسٹیج سیکرٹری کے فرائض ڈاکٹر صدام حسین قریشی نے انجام دیے۔
سیمینار کے مہمانِ خصوصی اور کلیدی مقرر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مجاہد عباس (یونیورسٹی آف جوہانسبرگ، جنوبی افریقہ) نے ’’عقل مند انسان‘‘ کے معاشی نظریے پر ایک علمی و فکری خطاب پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے ایڈم اسمتھ کی مشہور کتاب "The Wealth of Nations" کا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے بتایا کہ کس طرح انسان اپنی خوشی یا افادیت کو کم سے کم محنت کے ساتھ زیادہ سے زیادہ حاصل کرنے کی کوشش کرتا ہے۔ انہوں نے "Homo Economicus" کے نظریاتی تصور اور اس کی موجودہ سماجی و معاشی ماڈلنگ و نیورل نیٹ ورک آپٹیمائزیشن میں اہمیت پر بھی روشنی ڈالی۔ رجسٹرار ڈاکٹر محمد فاروق نے شعبہ ریاضی و شماریات کی کاوشوں کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ جدید دور میں ریاضی کی افادیت مزید بڑھ چکی ہے، جو سائنسی ترقی، ٹیکنالوجی اور فیصلہ سازی میں بنیادی کردار ادا کر رہی ہے۔ سیمینار میں ڈاکٹر محمد آصف، ڈاکٹر صدام حسین قریشی، ڈاکٹر ہمایوں فاروق، ڈاکٹر عمیر سہیل، ڈاکٹر محمد شہزاد اختر، ڈاکٹر تنویر اقبال، محمد شہباز عاصی، سمیت بڑی تعداد میں طلباء و طالبات نے شرکت کی۔تقریب کے اختتام پر مہمانِ خصوصی کو اعزازی شیلڈ پیش کی گئی جبکہ سیمینار کے کامیاب انعقاد میں کردار ادا کرنے والے افراد کی خدمات کو سراہا گیا۔
