Junior Leaders School Foundation provides admission in Prep class to girls from lower-income families, as we provide absolutely free education.
Here, our teaching methodology is based on very close coordination with the mothers of the students. Although more than ninety percent of the mothers are not educated, they still have strong aspirations and hope that tomorrow their daughters will succeed by receiving a quality education.
In order to integrate mothers into our academic schedule—something that may initially seem difficult—we follow a triangular approach. At the top of the triangle is the student, while at the base are the school on one side and the mother on the other.
Therefore, this year as well, after the admission of students in the Prep classes, the school organized a special workshop for mothers, in which more than sixty mothers participated. It was a one-day workshop, conducted over four hours.
This interaction with the mothers was conducted in three sessions:
First session: The Executive Director of the school, Col. Jawaid Iqbal, briefed them about our teaching methodology and the important role of mothers in providing education to their daughters.
Second session: All the female teachers interacted with the mothers on a one-to-one basis.
Third session: Mothers were invited to freely ask questions and give suggestions.
