*Purpose of Activity: (Importance and Usage of Micrometer Screw Gauge)*

Today at Mehran Model High School Atta Muhammad Veesar, a science practical activity on *"Micrometer Screw Gauge"* was conducted for Class 9th & 10th students under the supervision of science teacher.

*Importance of Activity:*
The main purpose was to give practical knowledge to students about precise measurement. Micrometer Screw Gauge is an important instrument in Physics to measure very small lengths, diameter of thin wire, and thickness of small objects accurately up to 0.01 mm.

*Usage Explained:*
Students were taught:
1. Parts of Micrometer Screw Gauge (Sleeve, Thimble, Anvil, Spindle, Ratchet)
2. Least Count formula: Least Count = Pitch / No. of divisions on circular scale
3. How to take zero error reading
4. Practical measurement of small iron wire and small scale thickness

Students took keen interest and measured practically. This activity improved their practical skills and cleared the concept of accurate measurement in Physics.

The activity was successful and beneficial for board practical exams.
