Friends! Today I am going to explain the principle of a spinning top (a kind of a toy). Many questions rise in mind of many people about its working. I also had a question that how a spinning top remains standing vertically but a non spinning top can't. And now I've got a simple explation without the confusing terms of inertia, momemtum and equilibrium etc. So everyone just having common sense without much knowledge can also understand it.
I will briefly explain it with the help of a coin. We know that if we put the coin vertically on a table, it will not stay vertical instead it will be fallen down. But if you make the coin spinning on the table it will remain standing vertical as long as it is spinning. Because a spinnin coin looks like a sphere. And a spherical object is rounded from all the sides. It has equal height and width.
As the coin also becomes a sphere while spinning so it also achieves the characteristics like a sphere. In this way, it stands vertical while spinning.

Many times we have seen the water flowing from a bottle. And we know that water flows in an irregular current while flowing from it. Because when the water flows from bottle the air from outside of bottle tries to enter it which causes a break in flow of water. Similarly, when we drink water. The air from inside of our body tries to come out. So we have to take a break to emit the air from our throat. If we don't take the break, we may suffer.
So how should we drink? Here is what the Islam says:
Ibn Abbas (RadiAllaho Ta’ala Anho) narrates from the Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasalam) that “Do not drink water in one breath like a camel. However, drink it in two or three breathes. Say Bismillah and when you move the glass praise Allah Azzawajal by saying Alhamdulilah”. (Tirmidhi)
So you can see that Islam tells us to drink water in two or three breaths because of what I have told you above.
