Another Proud Moment for Sona Public School & College

We are thrilled to share another remarkable achievement of Sona Public School & College Mirpur Mathelo! 🇵🇰

Our talented 10th-grade student, Maida Fatima, was interviewed and successfully selected as a Young Parliamentarian to participate in a special parliamentary programme at the Sindh Provincial Assembly, Karachi.

The programme, sponsored by UNICEF, provided students with a unique opportunity to experience parliamentary proceedings and develop their leadership, communication, public speaking, and civic engagement skills.

What makes this achievement even more special is that 95% of the seats were allocated to government schools, while only 5% were reserved for private schools. From the private-school quota at the district level, Maida Fatima proudly secured this opportunity through her interview and went on to represent Sona Public School & College at the national level.

During the session, she took on the role of a Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) and confidently showcased her public speaking and parliamentary skills. 👏

This achievement reflects our commitment to providing students with opportunities beyond the classroom. From successfully organizing Sona Model United Nations (MUN) to now having our students selected for prestigious platforms such as the Young Parliamentarians Programme, Sona Public School & College continues to create opportunities for students to learn, lead, and shine. 🌟

Azadi Walk

In connection with the celebrations of Pakistan's 79th Independence Day, *Sona Public School & College Mirpur Mathelo* proudly organized an "Azadi Walk" to express love, unity, and unwavering devotion to the motherland.

The walk was graced by the esteemed presence of *Mr. Nazim Channa, Deputy Director, Private Schools and Colleges, Sukkur,* who joined the students, teachers, and administration in this patriotic initiative. Holding the national flag high, participants marched with great enthusiasm, symbolizing the nation's spirit of unity and resilience.

The atmosphere echoed with passionate patriotic slogans such as *"Pakistan Zindabad!",* *"Long Live Pakistan!",* and *"Unity, Faith, Discipline!"* Students enthusiastically waved the national flags, sang national songs, and reaffirmed their commitment to the progress, peace, and prosperity of the country.

The event concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the ideals of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and to contribute positively towards building a stronger, more united, and prosperous Pakistan. The Independence Walk served as a vibrant reminder of the sacrifices made by our national heroes and inspired everyone to cherish and safeguard the freedom we enjoy today.

In Sona Public School and College today's morning assembly was dedicated to *Pakistan Independence Day*.
The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran,
Students delivered speeches highlighting the importance of 14th August and the sacrifices of our national heroes.
Tableaus and national songs filled the atmosphere with patriotic spirit.

Teachers reminded students that freedom is a great blessing and that we must work hard with honesty and unity to make Pakistan strong and prosperous.

The assembly ended with a prayer for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan and with the national anthem.
