دولت کی آنکھوں کا سرمہ بنتا ہے ہماری ہڈی سے
مندر کے دیئے بھی جلتے ہیں مزدور کی پگھلی چربی سے

ہم سے بازار کی رونق ہے، ہم سے چہروں کی لالی ہے
جلتا ہے ہمارے دل کا دیا دنیا کی سبھا اجیالی ہے

دولت کی سیوا کرتے ہیں ٹھکرائے ہوئے ہم دولت کے
مزدور ہیں ہم، مزدور ہیں ہم سوتیلے بیٹے قسمت کے

سونے کی چٹائی تک بھی نہیں، ہم ذات کے اتنے ہیٹے ہیں
یہ سیجوں پر سونے والے شاید بھگوان کے بیٹے ہیں

ہم میں نہیں کوئی تبدیلی جاڑے کی پالی راتوں میں
بیساکھ کے تپتے موسم میں، ساون کی بھری برساتوں میں

کپڑے کی ضرورت ہی کیا ہے مزدوروں کو، حیوانوں کو
کیا بحث ہے، سردی گرمی سے لوہے کے بنے انسانوں کو

ہونے دو چراغاں محلوں میں، کیا ہم کو اگر دیوالی ہے
مزدور ہیں ہم، مزدور ہیں ہم، مزدور کی دنیا کالی ہے

مزدور کے بچے تکتے ہیں جب حسرت سے دوکانوں کو
مزدور کا دل دیتا ہے دعا دیوتاؤں کو، بھگوانوں کو

پر لڑنے پر مجبور ہیں ہم
