The Changchun Institute of Technology is a multi-disciplinary full-time university with primary focus on engineering, but also offers degrees in management, business and the humanities. CIT is affiliated with the Jilin Provincial Government and recognized by the Jilin Province Academic Degrees Committee. CIT is further recognized by the Ministry of Education and has the power to grant bachelor and master degrees.

CIT currently has about 15 000 full-time students, 121 post-graduate students, as well as more than 10 000 part-time students.

CIT and the aforementioned institutions have established exchange relations, carried out student exchanges, as well as several cooperation projects, exchanged experts and scholars and cooperated in scientific research.
