Job Fair Countdown at AWKUM!

As part of the preparations for the KP Job Fair 2025, which is being hosted on December 18, 2025 by Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan in partnership with Women University Mardan and the University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Mardan, a seminar on Interview Skills & CV Writing was held today on December 16, 2025 at AWKUM.

The session provided practical guidance to help students prepare effective CVs and confidently face job interviews.
More career-oriented activities are underway in the lead-up to 18 December 2025.

QEC-AWKUM Organized Workshop on PREE Under the New QA Framework PSG-2023

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) organized a one-day training workshop on 27 November 2025 on “Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE)” in line with the revised Quality Assurance framework, Pak Precepts and Standards Guidelines (PSG-2023).
The session began with a welcoming address by the Director QEC, Dr. Dost Muhammad Khan, who appreciated the presence and active participation of all Program Team (PT) members from various departments. He highlighted the transition from the previous Self-Assessment Report (SAR) mechanism to the newly introduced PREE framework. He emphasized that, unlike the old SAR system, PREE not only ensures compliance with QA standards but also promotes continuous improvement and academic program enhancement.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Nouman Habib, Director QEC at Pak-Austria Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, Haripur. Participants actively engaged in discussions, asked relevant questions, and shared their experiences related to the quality review process. Mr. Ibrar Hussain served as the stage secretary and efficiently managed the proceedings throughout the workshop.
In the closing ceremony, the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad, appreciated the efforts of QEC for organizing the workshop and acknowledged the active participation of PT members. He emphasized the importance of strengthening internal quality mechanisms to align with national QA standards. The Vice Chancellor also distributed certificates among the participants.
A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to celebrate QEC’s remarkable score of 84.12 in the QAA-HEC annual scorecard.
The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to ensure quality enhancement and continuous improvement across academic programs at AWKUM.
