The Department of Chemistry, Women University Mardan, organized a hands-on training session entitled “Academic and Scientific Writing.” The session aimed to equip researchers with essential skills to plan, structure, and write academic documents—such as synopses and theses—in a clear, coherent, and professional manner.

Dr. Ghazala Ali Khan, Director, Pakistan Scientific and Technological Centre Peshawar, served as the resource person and delivered an engaging and insightful training. Her session enhanced participants’ understanding of key academic writing strategies and highlighted common pitfalls in scholarly work.

The Department of Chemistry remains committed to offering such capacity-building initiatives to strengthen the research and academic competencies of both students and faculty. The session was made possible through the support and encouragement of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, whose dedication to academic excellence continues to foster a strong research culture within the university.

ترجمان حضرت بلال ؛ ویمن یونورسٹی مردان کے بخشالی کیمپس میں جمعہ کے دن پیش آنے والے واقعے کو مد نظر رکھتے ہوئے یونیورسٹی انتظامیہ نے سیکیورٹی آفیسر کو فوری طور پر معطل کر کے معاملہ کی مکمل تحقیقات کے لیے پانچ رُکنی انکوائری کمیٹی کو بھیج دیا ہے۔ پیر کے دن وائس چانسلر نے مببینہ کیس کی شفاف انکوائری کے لئے سیکیورٹی آفیسر کی فوری معطلی کا حکم دیتے ہوئے ہراسمنٹ کمیٹی کو جلد تحقیقات مکمل کرکے رپورٹ پیش کرنے کا کہا۔ ویمن یونیورسٹی مردان تمام طلباء اور عملے کے لیے محفوظ ماحول کو برقرار رکھنے کے لیے پرعزم ہے۔ انتظامیہ منصفانہ اور شفاف انکوائری کو یقینی بنا رہی ہے اور کمیٹی کے نتائج کی بنیاد پر مناسب کارروائی کی جائے گی۔ یونیورسٹی بدانتظامی کے خلاف اپنی پالیسیوں کو مضبوطی سے برقرار رکھتی ہے اور اپنے طلباء کے حقوق اور تحفظ کے لیے تمام ضروری اقدامات کرے گی۔

مردان : ویمن یونیورسٹی مردان کا آٹھواں یومِ تاسیس

صوبائی وزیر برائے اعلیٰ تعلیم خیبر پختونخوا مینا خان آفریدی نے اس تقریب میں بطور مہمانِ خصوصی شرکت کی۔ ان کے ہمراہ صوبائی اسمبلی کے ممبران اور وزیر اعلیٰ کے معاون خصوصی برائے فنی تعلیم طفیل انجم اور امیر فرزند خان بھی موجود تھے۔ ماحولیاتی ادارے کے چیف ایڈوکیٹ ڈاکٹر خالد خان، وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر صفیہ احمد اور مختلف تعلیمی اداروں کے سربراہان، فیکلٹی ممبرزاور طالبات کی ایک بڑی تعداد بھی شریک ہوئے۔ صوبائی وزیر برائے اعلیٰ تعلیم مینا خان آفریدی نے کہا ہے کہ یونیورسٹیوں کے معاملات کارکردگی سے منسلک کر رہے ہیں۔ فنانشل سسٹینبلٹی اور منیجمنٹ بہتر بنانے کے ساتھ رینکنگ کا نیا نظام لا رہے ہیں جس سے اعلیٰ تعلیم کے شعبے میں نمایاں تبدیلی آئے گی۔ تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے اعلیٰ تعلیم کے صوبائی وزیر نے کہا کہ صوبائی حکومت اعلیٰ تعلیم کے فروغ کو اہمیت دے رہی ہے۔ یونیورسٹیوں کے مالی معاملات کو حل کرنے کےلئے ہماری حکومت نے ایک سال میں کافی پیش رفت کی ہے اور یونیورسٹیز میں فنانشل منیجمنٹ اور سسٹینبلٹی مکینزم کے ذریعے یونیورسٹیوں کے مالی معاملات بہتر ہو جائیں گے۔
تمام یونیورسٹیز کےلئے تربیتی ورکشاپ منعقد کر رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وومن یونیورسٹی مردان کی نئی عمارت تکمیل کے لیے صوبائی حکومت امسال دس کروڑ روپے فراہم کرے گی جس سے یونیورسٹی کے اگلے سیشن سے نئی عمارت میں کلاسز کا اجراء ممکن ہوسکے گا۔
تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر صفیہ احمد نے کہا ویمن یونیورسٹی مردان کا یومِ تاسیس ادارے کی تاریخ میں ایک اہم سنگ میل کی حیثیت رکھتا ہے، جو تعلیمی برتری اور سماجی خدمات کے سفر کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔ ویمن یونیورسٹی مردان 2016 میں خواتین کو معیاری تعلیم فراہم کرنے کے وژن کے تحت قائم کی گئی تھی۔ اس سفر کا آغاز چند طلبہ اور اساتذہ کے ساتھ ہوا، لیکن چیلنجز کے باوجود یہ ادارہ تیزی سے ترقی کرتا گیا، نئے پروگرامز، بنیادی ڈھانچے کی توسیع اور اعلیٰ تعلیم یافتہ مستقل فیکلٹی ممبران کی بھرتی کے ذریعے اپنی جگہ مستحکم کرتا رہا۔

مزید برآں، 10 معروف اداروں کے ساتھ مفاہمتی یادداشتوں (MoUs) پر دستخط کیے گئے۔اس موقع پر صوبائی وزیر برائے اعلیٰ تعلیم مینا خان اور وومن یونیورسٹی کی وائس چانسلر پروفیسر صفیہ احمد بھی موجود تھے۔

تقریب کی خوشیوں کو دوبالا کرنے کے لیے مقامی کاروباری افراد اور دونوں کیمپسز کے طلبہ کو اپنے مصنوعات اور خدمات کی نمائش کے لیے مخصوص اسٹالز فراہم کیے گئے۔ مہمانِ خصوصی نے ان اسٹالز کا افتتاح کیا، وہاں کا دورہ کیا اور طلبہ کی تخلیقی صلاحیتوں اور کاروباری مہارتوں کو سراہا۔

The 8th International Conference on Empowering Women Through Education: Driving Sustainable Socio-Economic Development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Mardan, November 13th, 2024– The 8th International Conference on commenced on 13th November, 2024 at Women University Mardan. The two-days conference is organized by Women University Mardan, having international key note speakers from Indonesia, Nigeria and Malaysia who attended the conference online. The conference brought together scholars, policymakers, and social activists to discuss strategies for promoting women's education as a vital pathway for sustainable development in the region.

Prof. Dr. Safia Ahmed, the Patron-in-Chief of the conference, emphasized the transformative power of education in empowering women and propelling socio-economic development. Dr. Farah Khan, Head of IER and the Chief Organizer of the event, welcomed participants from various universities across the province and highlighted the significance of addressing the unique educational challenges faced by women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In his keynote address, Mr. Abdul Salam (Member Provincial Assembly) commended Women University Mardan for its commitment to uplifting women's education and appreciated the conference’s theme as a vital need of the hour. He stated, "Educating women is not only essential for individual empowerment but also crucial for the collective progress of our society".

The opening ceremony was attended by vice-chancellors, deans, and faculty members from various universities across the province, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts to address issues related to women's education and economic empowerment.

The conference will continue till 14th November, 2024 with panel discussions, research presentations, and workshops focused on developing actionable frameworks for women’s educational advancement.
