Earth will be engulfed by the sun in 5.4 billion years from now.

In 5.4 billion years from now, our sun will exhaust all its fuel. The hydrogen in its inner core will be depleted. The instability of the sun’s core will cause it to collapse under its own weight. As the core heats up and becomes much denser, our star will grow in size by around 1 astronomical unit, which is the current average distance between Earth and the sun.

The Sun will gradually engulf Mercury, Venus, and possibly Earth. By then, all life on Earth will have ceased to exist. The habitable zone of our planet will be completely lost. All the oceans will evaporate, and the planet will be bombarded by intense lethal radiation. Eventually, Earth will become a molten planet that once hosted a civilization.

Unless humans have left Earth by then or probably pushed the planet away from the sun, our species will become extinct. All our history and cultures will become a distant forgotten past.

( جس نے Uncertainity Principle دریافت کیا تھا) اسی کا اسسٹنٹ رہ چکا ہے ۔ میکس بورن نے اپنی کسی تحریر میں درج کیا کہ ایک بار اسے آئین شٹائن نے ایک قصہ سنایا ۔ اس نے بتایا کہ اس کی ملاقات امریکی نوبل انعام یافتہ سائنسدان رابرٹ میلیکین Robert Millikan سے اس کے بڑھاپے کے وقت میں ہوئی ۔ ( میلی کین نے سب سے پہلے ایک الیکٹرون پر موجود چارج کی پیمائش measurement کی تھی) ۔آئن شٹائن نے اس سے پوچھا کہ آج کل اس کی تحقیق کا موضوع کیا ہے! ملی کین نے جواب دیا کہ میں الیکٹرون پر موجود چارج کی زیادہ سے زیادہ بہتر measurement میں مصروف رہتا ہوں ۔ یاد رہے کہ اس وقت تک ملی کین کو اس کام پر نوبل انعام مل چکا تھا۔ یہ سن کر آئن شٹائن حیران رہ گیا اور اس نے اس حیرت کا اظہار میکس بورن سے ان الفاظ میں کیا

پس سائنس ان علوم میں سےایک ہے جس کا سفر اس مادی دنیا کی بہتر سے بہتر تفہیم کی طرف جاری رہتا ہے ۔ اور یہی اس علم کی اہمیت اور عظمت ہے کہ یہ ایک رواں دواں دریا کے مانند ہے ۔ آپ جانتے ہیں کہ بہتا پانی ایک جگہ کھڑا ہو جائے تو اس میں تعفن پھیل جاتا ہے۔اور تعفن انسانی زندگی کے لیے خطرناک ہے ۔اوریہی حال ایک جگہ مدت مدید سے ٹھہرے ہوئے علوم کا بھی ہے!
