کولمبیا یونیورسٹی کا ایک طالبعلم ریاضی کی کلاس میں سو گیا۔ جب آنکھ کھلی تو طلباء کی آوازیں آ رہی تھیں کہ لیکچر ختم ہو چکا تھا۔

اس نے دیکھا کہ پروفیسر نے تختہِ سیاہ پر دو سوال لکھے ہوئے ہیں۔ اس نے سوچا کہ یہ یقیناً ہوم ورک کے سوالات ہوں گے۔ اس نے جلدی سے دونوں سوال اپنی کاپی میں نقل کر لیے تاکہ گھر جا کر حل کرے۔

جب اس نے ان پر کام شروع کیا تو پایا کہ یہ سوالات انتہائی مشکل ہیں مگر وہ ہمت نہ ہارا۔ لائبریری گیا، کتابیں کھنگالیں، حوالہ جات دیکھے، اور مسلسل کوشش کرتا رہا، یہاں تک کہ بڑی مشکل سے ان میں سے ایک سوال حل کر لیا۔

اگلی کلاس میں، اس نے حیرت سے دیکھا کہ پروفیسر نے پچھلے لیکچر کے ہوم ورک کے بارے میں کوئی بات ہی نہیں کی!
اس نے پوچھا: "سر! آپ نے پچھلی کلاس کا ہوم ورک چیک ہی نہیں کیا جو آپ نے آخر میں بورڈ پر لکھا تھا؟"

پروفیسر نے حیرت سے کہا: "ہوم ورک؟ وہ ہوم ورک نہیں تھا۔ میں نے تو صرف چند ایسی مثالیں دی تھیں جنہیں ابھی تک دنیا کے بڑے بڑے ریاضی دان بھی حل نہیں کر سکے!"

طالبعلم حیرت سے بولا:
"لیکن میں نے ان میں سے ایک سوال چار صفحات میں حل کر لیا ہے!"

بعد میں اس سوال کا حل کولمبیا یونیورسٹی میں باقاعدہ رجسٹر کیا گیا اور آج تک وہ حل اس طالبعلم کے نام سے جانا جاتا ہے۔

وہ چار صفحات آج بھی یونیورسٹی میں محفوظ ہیں۔

یہ طالبعلم بعد میں ریاضی کے عظیم ماہر بنے: "جارج دانتزِگ (George Dantzig)"

انہوں نے صرف اس لیے یہ مسئلہ حل کر لیا، کیونکہ انہوں نے یہ نہیں سُنا تھا کہ:
"یہ سوالات آج تک کوئی حل نہیں کر سکا!"

انہوں نے خود کو یہ یقین دلا دیا کہ ان کا حل ممکن ہے۔
اور جب مایوسی کے بغیر کوشش کی…
تو وہ انہیں حل کرنے میں کامیاب ہو گئے۔

کبھی کسی کی یہ بات نہ سنو کہ "تم نہیں کر سکتے!"

تم سب کچھ کر سکتے ہو، چاہے حالات کتنے ہی مشکل کیوں نہ ہوں ان شاء اللہ۔

Detail of Students with Wheel Chairs mobility

GCMS Mansehra won the zonal cricket competition and qualified for provincial level in intercollegiate sports competition organized by DGCE&MS, Peshawar. In the final, GCMS Mansehra defeated GCMS, Abbottabad in a nerve testing match by 60 runs.

The Higher Education Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa prioritizes women's empowerment through digital literacy and technological skills.

HED engaged British Council and affiliated partner in this regard for partnership .

The Higher Education Department was assured by the British Council that they will establsh *Women's Centre of Excellence in KP*.

7 KP public sector universities were initially shortlisted; After tough process, 3 were short listed for final round and finally IMSciences Peshawar was finally selected for establishing center excellence.

This centre will equip over 2,000 women with 50+ skills, including:

- Artificial Intelligence

- Web Designing

Enabling women to work remotely and compete globally.
